toontownman Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Rubbish, whilst some managers like Sam Allardyce might be able to control fiery characters or so called bad boys, profiling and temperaments on and off the pitch are fiercly scrutinised by the majority of managers before purchasing a player. It doesnt have to be a big issue if they are play well, but if they disrupt the harmony of the dressing room, put people or themselves at risk they are a liability. Its not good business or even sound logic, but the decision lies with the coach. Which was basically proven when Bellamy was offered around at a cut price from us and only mid to lower table teams were interested in him. He could have improved and eventually did prove he can add to a top four team, although his temperament seems to have let him down again at Liverpool.
