Surely Allardyce will want to protect the playing surface so we can play a slick, passing game next season?...

Its already been decided that the reserves will play at SJP..

Ah make that some of their games.. in fact three of them :lol:

The playing surface can handle it far better these days than it could a few years ago, normally by January time the pitch was a mud bath, but the artificial lights have kept the pitch in pretty good shape through the winter in the past couple of seasons.
