Of those four, only Nasri will become world class.

My god you must smoke crack! Sneijder will be THE next world class midfielder to take the world by storm. He's been playing in the dutch senior team since 2003, and has 126 appearances in the Ajax first team with 46 goals; capped off with a 20 goal season last year.

Would love it if we got Sneijders, Villa and Spurs are after him too.  Quality in the Amsterdam Tournament as already mentioned.

Deco, but we have Emre.

Emre isn't fit to shine Deco's boots imo. There are flashes of brilliance from him of course and he has a nice touch on the ball, just isn't penetrative enough with his passing....When it isn't wildly off target of course.

I've often wondered what it is with Americans always accusing those they disagree with of smoking crack.

Anyway, he's already widely regarded as a very good player, I don't think there'll be all that much 'taking the world by storm' until he moves to one of the glamour teams however.

Andy van der Meyde was the last BIG thing to come out of holland look what happened to him when you put him in a BIG team.

This is the thing and part of the explanation why some of the Dutch boys are so reluctant to leave the little pond.

i'll play along even if we aren't in the market for a playmaker

van der vaart would be my choice. i don't see deco making the transition to the epl - would be good, but not great. i think that vdv could make that shift.

Because crack would be the only explanation that would be plausible, other than retardation. What I don't get, is how people talk so much shit about dutch players, and yet they are all over and some huge names.

Van der Sar

Seedorf

Babel

Van Persie

Van Nistelrooy

Van der Vaart

Kuyt

But yeah, look what happened when you put these guys into a BIG team. The only 1 there not well proven is Babel, and he is well on his way. Maybe the reason Americans think so many people smoke crack, is because so many Brits get these retarded visors on where they think that an english player is superior just because he is english. We have something called objectivity.

Dont agree with "where they think that english player is superior just because he is english" as most apart from the odd english player are crap not the same ratio as american football(not soccer) players like and because most of us watch the dutch-italian-german league and because the prem is the fastest toughest league players get found out and all so it helps some of us know what we are talking about numb nutts. PS have a nice day.

I completely agree that most american players are shit. Because it's not taken as seriously as it is in Europe. But in all truth, I'm sick and tired of hearing this "prem is the fastest toughest league" shit like it somehow makes it superior. While I love English footy, because I have roots in England, I can't agree with all of this better league shit. It has more money to spread around, but it really isn't the best. Hell, for that, just look at the Champions League for the past 27 years. FOUR times and English team wins it. Start looking at the actual stats and history of shit, and then maybe you really know what your talking about.

Five times. Villa are an English team.

Then there were five years when English clubs were banned from the competition.

Meanwhile...

Italian clubs: six times

German clubs: three times

Spanish clubs: five times

Plus, English finalists the last three seasons, three English clubs in the semi-finals last season... it's not a bad record.

I am sorry your right we are unofficially second.

"The Premier League (officially known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons, colloquially known as The Premiership), is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top echelon of the English football league system (above The Football League). It the world's most watched sporting league, and the most lucrative football league. Based on the performances of member clubs in European competitions over a five-year period, with the 2006/07 season results in consideration, the Premier League is unofficially ranked second [2] behind Spain's La Liga,"

Its the second statistically.

Also since England were banned from 1981 till 1990 from Europe we never really had much chance of improving the champions league balance if we weren't I am sure Liverpool would of won a few more during that time. And since the prem has been around since 1992 so most of the stats your quoting are relevant.

Ooops, glossed over that with the missing Aston part. And I'm not trying to say its a bad record, just that peopel need to get off this fucking pedestal they have the PL on.
