Overall a good win, thought we were excellent in the first 20 minutes but didn't make it count, didn't help that Isak was pretty off it, nothing he tried really came off, even the goal itself was a slice of fortune but we'll forgive him and we'll take it all day long. Thought the two fullbacks were brilliant once again, the recent improvement in Livramento is very much welcomed as I think a fair few were getting a bit concerned about his poor form before the final, Tonali was superb and Joelinton was a force defensively and going forward, unfortunately Bruno's performance was of very low standard, constantly giving the ball away and generally just making the wrong decisions, seemed a little bit overly emotional and fired up to me, which was causing him to rush everything he did. Enjoying seeing Barnes contribute a lot more, seemed to be involved in most things we did going forward and was contributing far more defensively, may be controversial but Gordon doesnt come straight back in for me, might bring back the best in Gordon too if he has to fight for his place. Top 4 is very much on, but we need to be consistent.

I've barely slept a wink since the final, I spend my days scrolling through socials for more cup final content, I've watched the full game 3 times and I just can't switch my brain off, it's becoming a problem

Could always appreciate what he did for us and how much he's moved us on since those dark days, but just never thought he quite had enough about him to win anything here, more based on gut feeling than anything else tbf, but never been so happy to be so wrong. I want to see him properly backed in the market and see how far he can take us, with the pressure of first cup off our backs we really have a chance to soar to even bigger heights if we get the ingredients right 👍 Thank you Edward.

Ended up leaving the utilita fan zone due to a 90 minute wait for a pint, usually a placid bloke watched it in a gay bar next to the arena which was class coverage and good atmosphere but spent the the last few minutes of the game screaming in everyone's face about how great we are, wouldn't change a thing.

A good reminder that a very average player that has a purple patch is still a very average player, really hope we go big on a class right winger in the summer.

I respectfully disagree, I don't think we can seriously aspire to be a champions league level side and have a very regressed Pope and a bang average Dubravka as our main two, I think a top quality keeper is just as important to us as a new right winger with CB being absolutely imperative.

Think he was as good as he could have been tbh and always takes him a bit of time to get back up to speed, we created pretty much nothing for him, he does look like he's lost a bit of pace though.

One thing that worries me about us as a team is that even against the lower quality teams we rarely look truly comfortable in possession, we turn over the ball a lot during a game and don't seem to have any sort of dominant passing rhythm that even some of the mid table teams have. The amount of times we lose the ball and create our own problems in games is astounding, you would expect better with Tonali and Bruno in midfield, that's the best part of 100 mils worth of signings.

Putting Bruno to shame with his calmness on the ball, the lad is going places.

Pretty much completely risk free decent squad player probably on low wages, nothing to grumble about from me for a change.

No real issue with this if it was to sit at number 2, but I can't see Howe letting go of Pope and I can't see us having three keepers that will each want to be starting sat on the bench so think a new signing wouldn't happen in that scenario, we are desperate for a top class No1 keeper.
