I think the counter arguement to that - why move when we could have stayed at SJP and extended to 60k, is that once you do that you’re then stuck at that capacity and a huge investment will be required in 15 years or so if that becomes too small. I say that as someone who would love us to stay at SJP. Sadly, the lack of being able to extend again is what stops it being an option. I also would rather we move to a stadium with an increase but not one where we could see ourselves with vast amount of empty seats when we have a dip or the novelty wears off. If it is 65k, I’m sure that the option to extend it will be there, so it makes sense to take it gradually imo.

It was more based on Twitter tbf. I know that it’s full of morons, mind.

This needs to be one of the crucial things. Not just keeping season ticket holders together where wanted, but having people sitting with their mates.

Why use data to ensure we get the right capacity to both satisfy demand but also stop any empty seats when we can have a soopa doopa 100,000 seater so we can brag about how big our stadium is
  5. Would love to see a permanent mural or two in the city. Ideally dedicated to a former player or manager. There’s one on the outskirts of Mackemland for Raich Carter looks class.
  6. One thing that sticks in my mind is that our plans are apparently far more impressive than Man United’s. Can’t remember who said it, but may have been from someone at the club.
  7. Not a fan of it at all personally. Always say I hope we do something different so respect to them for that, but I just think it is weird and ultimately still a bowl.
  8. I haven’t forgiven them but it says it all about my hatred for the Micky mousers that I was fucking delighted last night.

Definitely. Especially when the only reason for doing it is to say they have.
  10. This is it for me too. If we lose and we’ve went out there and give it a good go, left everything out there then I will be disappointed but also proud of the efforts and mentality. If we go out half arsed and go through the motions then I’ll be fucking raging. Just hope Liverpool’s luck with dodgy officiating doesn’t spoil the game.

Would rather we take our time to get it right than rush it through. It’s clear that progress is being made behind the scenes and as much as I would love to know officially what’s going on and whether we are staying or going, I’d rather know when there’s a solid plan in place. Don’t see the point in a box ticking “consulting the fans” exercise.
  12. Probably another new woke rule.
