  1. Isn't that against the rules at the minute while the world cup is on ? Plus Feyenoord said on Monday they have not spoken to anyone.
  2. From Feyenoord football club: ‘Up to now not a single club has contacted Feyenoord about Kuyt and I have not spoken with Dirk about this,’ says club supremo Van den Herik. Over recent weeks rumours have been increasingly appearing in the English press in particular about interest from Premiership clubs for the striker and about Kuyt’s own interest in a move across the Channel. But if truth be told, the Feyenoord captain – who’s currently preparing for the Word Cup finals – has not said a thing.
  3. I can't see any site other than rumour sites who are posting this news with any quotes or facts or information at all. Seems like it may be a load of bollocks to be cooked up by someone near the player who is trying to get him a deal sorted to go somewhere. Or even the club to try and get some offers in.
  4. Just cause I'm curious, where exactly has this rumour come from, it's not on skysports or bbc.
  5. What's happened to Rooney like I'm not watching that game ? And keep up NobbySolano
  6. Unchanged team from last week Shay Given, Stephen Carr, Titus Bramble, Craig Moore, Celestine Babayaro, Nobby Solano, Amady Faye, Matty Pattison, Charles N'Zogbia, Michael Chopra, Shola Ameobi Emre missed out after pulling up end of training
  7. Good idea, HTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! time to shift the picture.

His longest run of wins was 3 games. The last time we did a run of 5 was 2001/2002 http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~820677,00.html

Heretic. One of us is on the wrong board mate and judging by some of the other comments on here, I think it’s me! tongue.gif hehe no I want the club to be massive, we were massive and doing very well back in the KK days we had the right plan, a good blend of youth and experience and our spending wasn't to crazy until Shearer signed. The problem was the plan stopped at the manager, the board didn't think hang on what happens if he goes. And we all knew he would eventually. The club has massive support and a massive ground so in that sense is big, but we're small compared to top European clubs which is where we should be heading. The only way to fix this is to have a stable club with a manager who uses the same logic as KK did and the likes of Wenger and Jol are now, whilst at the same time the board have to constantly have a ready made replacment for the bloke so we are always at our peak. If we finish top 6 next season and then 4th the season after and another manager became available who we know can take us to the next level then I would be happy to replace him just like Arsenal did with Wenger. They brough him in when the club were doing ok and it worked. We always need to be looking into the future and that is the way the club can become a massive club and finally start winning trophies again. We can bring in as many big name managers as we want know but if the foundations aren't there and aren't prepared to be put in place we will never be a success.

Why ? People really do love their one liners on this forum, never really realised until now. Why would he be bad, who would you prefer, why would they come rather than going elsewhere ?

And I would have loved us to be able to get better but we are not a good enough club. As for giving managers hard times, Bobby Robson was complaining to the press cause he was sick of hearing boos when we were lossing at half time. KD was getting a very bad press before the new season even kicked off by fans thought FS topped that with a very badly timed sacking. KK got grief off fans for the sale of Andy Cole and for dropping the reserves even though most fans didn't even know the reason for either. I'm sure past managers will have as well Jack Charlton is a great example, called the club unmanagable if I remember correctly, though that was for many reasons other than the fans.

Hitzfeld - wait for German job, would prefer to stay in Germany Scolari - Real, or England well ahead of us Sven - Real though Freddy is a fan so I've no doubt he went for him and he turned us down. Mancini - Do you really want him or just heard his name a bit ? O'Neill - Souness II Deuchamps - Did you mean Deschamp ? Would be a massive risk bringing him here maybe more so than Roeder Le Guen - Deal was wrapped up with Rangers before the season even kicked off.

You know that and I know that cause we're fans but most managers want to be seen as a success and go for that any money. Why fanny out with bad tempered fans who turn on you after 3 games when you can get money and success dead quick by taking over a job like Madrid or an international role.

Which brings me back to the point, what top class manager will want to come to us. The World Cup is here so plenty of national jobs will be available soon, the Real job is up for grabs, the England job is up for grabs. The job of the person who gets the England job is up for grabs. Why would anyone rather come to us than go there especially if they really are a top class coach.

Yes but we don't like to have a manager for more than 2 seasons. If we go two games without a win we are calling for the managers help. We all want to win something but to do that we may have to put up with top 6 finishes for a few seasons first. We need a stable club, a club with the finances in the right place, the personnel in the right place not only in the team and backroom staff but also ready to step in when a player becomes no good anymore. We have none of this in place all we have is a chairman who will throw money (which we don't have) at the situation to keep season ticket holders happy so they keep buying (ie Owen) and the fans fall for it every single time. This is why I say I hate seeing thousands of fans greet a player it's just stupid we have won nothing and we don't look likly to win anything. This is why Roeder becomming manager makes me think different. He is man who has seen the club from the kids level and from the top. He has done a good job at both of these levels and understands the fans (we're a complex bunch). He, I believe can come in and set out the club just like how I described. The fans will have to show some patience but I believe in the long run we will have a club who can challange for trophies (FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA) and from there progress to challanage for the league and Champions League. Look at Arsenal, Liverpool and even Spurs are heading that way. It's the only way to be a success.

You didn't believe him when he said that did you For all we know he want for all the managers we wanted ahead of Roeder and they didn't want to come. Wouldn't suprise me.

Lets be honest here the fans of Newcastle United are impatient, plenty don't understand the game and follow the crowd and we have a chairman who runs the club to please the fans every few months whilest trying to make plenty of money in the process. Until this all changes it doesn't matter which mug takes control of the club we won't win a thing.

Ok so the club look to be hiring Roeder and some people want him and some don't. So can I ask the ones who don't want him will you support him and back him to the hill or will be winge after every defeat and not let him get on with the job. Basically I'm asking will you give the man a chance ? I did not want RG or GS but I gave both a chance didn't exactly work out very well but never mind.

The club wasn't going to have much money in the summer anyway so thats another reason I think it's a good choice. We need to become more consistant so making sure we're in UEFA Cup for a few seasons again will do us the world of good and allow us to push further into the top 4. I think we'll be between 4th and 8th next season.

Good Point, It may also see us lose Emre. Get the feeling him and Roeder dont see eye to eye. What makes you think that exactly nothing been said from the player that he doesn't, gets a game every time he's fit so why do you say they don't see eye to eye or is it just to add to your argument ? As for Emre he came out and denied he had said that, he said he loved the club and wanted to stay for the full length of his contract.

One word from me, stability and it's something this club has been lacking since KK left. Hopefully the club will continue along this line as the next manager will come from within the club as well. No sense constantly changing a team if it's a good squad and can do well. We have a good squad with the likes of Owen, Parker, Emre, Taylor, Given so no reason to change it massivly but a bigger manager would want to like the past managers have.
