You fix it by swapping one of them for a specialist defensive midfielder. That’s how. The large chunk of last season we got away with it by having the best striker on the planet at the time.

Proper mixed feelings on it. I love Howe and what he’s done for us, but it’s clear something has to change. The only person who can change it is him, and I don’t think he’s willing to. I think we’ll go backwards without him but I don’t think we’ll go forwards with him, so very conflicted.

They were both shit, but most fans recognise that Barnes’ performance was a form thing whereas Elanga’s was about ability.

Completely unforgivable performance in that 2nd half. No excuse for it. Half of them don’t look bothered anymore.
