Yeah Tarkowski has looked extremely slow in his last couple of games, particularly the one against Leeds. He was absolutely awful. I'm still convinced that putting a good DM in front of Lascelles/Fede and Schar will sort our defence out (ignoring the desperate need for a left back). I guess they're much harder to sign than centre backs though?

You think? I've only seen him a few times (given he never actually plays) and he looks like a defender that has pretty much zero pace. I don't see him being any better than Lascelles.

I do get that. I understand we desperately need a striker in asap, but I don't think Villa should be the comparison. For a starter they don't need an entire new team like we do. We're under so much pressure because we're utterly useless in all areas of the pitch.

But only 3 days ago everyone was excited about who we were linked to, and over the moon about signing Trippier. Weird how Saturday's match has completely changed people's view on our business.

It's just an easy rumour to start, without quoting any sources. So the way the team played in an fa cup game meant that plans were changed for the evening? What plans? It's actually positive that PIF are concerned with how the club is being run anyway, not negative. I'm pleased they're concerned. Maybe they'll throw more money in to sort it.
