  1. There was fury in the England camp today at the emergence of yet another distracting off-field drama, as Kieran Trippier's wife set tongues wagging by sharing a cryptic message on social media. Fuck off Daily Mail
  2. The problem Kane has, if he doesn't drop back he'll end up touching the ball about twice. It's not like we've found a way to get the ball to him otherwise is it. If only we had a left winger available who could use his ridiculous pace to stretch the game and give Kane space.
  3. How does this work then? He loses his signing on fee that he got in 2016? Or we wouldn’t have to pay him one? Neither make sense.
  4. So sounds like Gallagher in for Trent, no other changes. Exciting
  5. We’re not getting £40m for him man
  6. The topic was our worst signings since the takeover. He’s bound to be discussed in that without it having to be labelled a grudge imo. Do people have a “grudge” against Targett too?
  7. Probably none, but can’t help but feel we’re the ones losing out
  8. Liverpool supporting mate of mine is obsessed with this Everton-Newcastle-Chelsea-Villa transfer conspiracy that we’re all just swapping players to beat FFP
  9. He didn’t, so was a terrible signing. Simple as that really.
  10. Missing Jordan Henderson ffs maybe Maguire too? Sterling?
  11. Steve Bruce couldn’t have done all of that, but watching us draw the other night it could have been him managing that team. That’s why the comparisons have started.

    Joe Willock

How can anyone not rate Willock? Weird. I get the frustrations over his lack of fitness, but not rating him? Nah lad.
  13. Signing Chris Wood back for me
  14. we’ve played as badly outside of tournaments. Many many times. The same tactical issues were being discussed a year ago, 2 years ago, even 4 years ago. we struggle to be a good team under Southgate, it’s hard to point to many games and think “yeah, these are one of the best teams in the world”. tournaments are a different beast, but we still haven’t performed against the better teams. This tournament is bizarre though; it’s almost making him look stubborn. His experiment failed in the first game, it was always going to fail in the second. If he curveballs us all in the 3rd game and puts AG in, plays a proper CM in midfield (I want to see Wharton in there and see us keep the ball) and if we take the lead, gets the team to build on that then fair play. He’ll still need to do that against better teams but we’ve got plenty of evidence to show that he won’t. Ironically the defeat to Denmark in 2020 was probably a better performance from England than this latest draw. Never seen us not trying to win a game before.
  15. Maybe because it’s about the system, not the individuals.
