  1. Why? i guarantee you he wouldn't of heard of half the players doing good things in Italy, Portgual, Spain etc. Therefore i don't see many foreign signings and sticking to 'good, honest' players You're a WUM
  2. Playing the martyr eight months in. Acting like we're a charity case and he's done us a big favour. we were and he has He hasn't paid OUR debt off, he's paid HIS debt off. He hasn't given US any money. He's invested it in HIS business, from which HE will get the profits. Falling hook line and sinker for the old Shepherd guff. You were happier when the club owed over £70m then? He won't make profit from Newcasle United. Where's he going to make £250m back? Even Man United don't manage that.
  3. Playing the martyr eight months in. Acting like we're a charity case and he's done us a big favour. Erm, are you joking? He's got every right tbh
  4. Van Gaal. They can't defend for s*** though Wullie - talking about debts; Man United still owe over £600m for the two loans they took out (from an American bank and an American company, so our country don't even benefit from it). They announce this week that they're once again the richest club in England (although only because of turnover). I think our financial future looks far rosier than theirs, despite their massive assets. 3rd richest club in england? Who, us? I doubt it at the moment.
  5. How would they be perfect? Not having a go, just wondered. Johnson in particular, has masterminded to promotions, Bristol City and Yeovil, both on fairly low budgets. Plays brilliant football in a league where it is difficult to implement that style of play, has experience at an international level and generally seems to be an astute fella, very good. Mowbray, again turned Hibs into a top 4 SPL side and is regarded by their fans as one of their best managers, and despite building up a great squad and losing in the play-offs to Derby last season, losing some of his prized assets to Prem clubs, he's been brilliant in the transfer market this season. I've been particularly impressed with Filipe Teixera. They play great football, second that imho of Bristol City this season. Both these guys need a chance in the big-time, they are good enough, however young English managers aren't really given the chance at the top-level and I would like to see one of them at a big-ish club, such as Newcastle, although a risk it is one I think would pay off. I don't disagree with them both being good up-and-coming managers. I watch lower legue football week in, week out, and there aren't many better than those two. However, Newcastle are at a stage now where they need something more than people who know how to get small clubs to over-achieve.

  7. Nope, Man United fans actually sang a lot, to their credit. Easy to do when you're playing football like that though. I hate all of their twatish songs though. "who's that white pele, he goes by the name of wayne rooney". Dickheads. By the way, looked at our fans tonight and remembered why I love this club, even with all the shite which is attached to it. Was proud to be there tonight, in amongst the best fans in the world.
  8. I also see it as a big two fingers up to all the other fans and managers who have wanted to talk about our "little club" for the last few days.
  9. agreed, and after reading the whol ething i feel a alot better. anyone else get the feeling the new bloke is going to be heavily backed? He's pretty much said it's about winning, not the money. I can see him backing his manager to the point of buying a trophy. Happy with that tbh.
  10. Can someone change the title again? It's only been changed 4 times during the last 7 posts
  11. He'd also change the colour of the carpets at the club* *The above is unfounded nonsense, much like the post I quoted.
  12. How would they be perfect? Not having a go, just wondered.
  13. I wanna know what love is!
  14. where did he say this? The papers tomorrow are quoting him.
  15. Righto. Glad you posted that though. Means I don't have to read any of your posts anymore. Cheers

I'm amazed people don't rate Reo-Coker. A million times better than the shower of shite midfielders at this club.

Depends on his transfer activity. Entirely on that. I'm just impressed that he can do so much with a tiny squad, with some positions lacking in quality and others lacking in, well, anyone. I don't see the lack of quality though? Excellent keeper and defence, Reo-Coker is nothing special but does a job in front of the defence, Barry is very good, and that front-three of Agbonlahor, Young & Carew is top-drawer. They're lacking quality cover in the squad though, so I know what he means.
  18. Completely unsighted by a wall which jumped over the ball for the first. Put under stupid pressure by Cacapa and Enrique for the second. I hate the agendas people have against players. If it wasn't for Given today it would have been 12-0.

Depends on their buys. Sven will pick up a few, you can bet. What?
  20. I think people need to calm down a little and try to forget about this game. It was always going to happen (ok, maybe not a 6-0 loss) but we all know that things need to be done. Too many people are just looking at this one game and getting all depressed about it. My personal feeling is that we've got it out of the way now, so we can just start looking forward. A new manager who will find a decent midfield, teach our team that they need to actually mark players, and hopefully get Owen scoring again, and we'll be fine. It's NOT all about this match today.

I fancy Villa to break the top 4 next season.
