Gerrard learning from Lampard with his diving
-
We've only gone and fucking scored.
-
Yep, and a few years ago all England fans wanted him out. That's what they all do. Same even happened with Gascoigne IIRC
-
We've never been that bad. Oh and Shearergol, not everyone has the infatuation with Lampard, that you have. No s***? Although the point I made was a good one. It's just I heard the reason we're s*** is because Lampard plays. Any thoughts on my post? I don't disagree. Lampard hasn't played well for England since the world cup qualifiers. However, neither have Rooney or Gerrard. I just find it strange why Lampard is the scapegoat, much like Scholes and Beckham used to be.

Lampard not playing has made a huge difference like.

To be honest, Grimsby Town don't play football anywhere these days. I don't see the point they're trying to make. Are they saying that only the fans who were either there whilst Newcastle were in the lower leagues, or who pay an interest in lower league football have the right to comment? See, I know plenty about lower league football, but I don't go to SJP, and I only get to about 5 or 6 away games during the season. I don't feel I have much right to comment on the team at all, unless it's during an argument with LeazesNE5beermonster

Looks like Ballack and Schev are costing Chelsea the title.

The loss of Joe Cole is costing Chelsea the title more than anything. That and the loss of Terry. -
Thanks for the reminder. *changes the ban until 2011* Who the fuck is he by the way?
-
Chelsea's best players were there before Roman was though. Seriously? I can think of Lampard and Terry. Cech Carvalho Ashley Cole Essien Robben Drogba etc etc Yep, Terry and Lampard. Chelsea's best players.
-
Chelsea's best players were there before Roman was though. Chelsea for me. Doesn't matter what anyone does in football now, just can't stand Man United winning anything.
-
Just to clear the Shearer story up for Tachikoma, every single player at the trial had a stint in goal. This thread is making me realise that Scunthorpe have produced more top players than Newcastle. Worrying.

You mean a soapbox Who is this Leazes you keep banging on about ... you are 35 aren't you Gem ? Fucking hell, surely there can't be two of you.

HTL wants response to footsoldiers comments so let me oblige. Ameobi has played 200 matches, true - but quite a few of those have been from the subs bench or out wide. I would argue that his contribution is anything but poor in matches. He has won us a fair few pens and free kicks running at defenders and his recent goalscoring record has been ok. He's not a top class striker by any means but a useful squad player IMO. Luque on the other hand is clearly a high class player, anyone who saw his goal will appreciate that except for the most blinkered. looks to me like he doesn't fancy English football though which makes him an expensive luxury. I think footsoldier answered his own question. He does usually miss them, but under Roeder it appears that he's improving. I couldn't give a shit if he was crap 200 games ago, as long as he's improving now. Bellamy used to miss loads of chances too, but he improved. Wouldn't you want him in the team either?
-
You missed off the [/patronize] tags mate. Or in translation... "Part of the problem here is that there are a number of posters on this forum who don't agree with me"
-
He played Ameobi on the left rather than Luque because Luque isn't a left winger. Thought we'd got over that one HTL?

What a ridiculous question

Has anyone completed their "Leazesmag/NE5 Bingo card" yet? I'm just waiting on a "would you rather have Doug Ellis" to complete mine

Is it? You've obviously seen the contract they've offered him then. What are the details? He's been offered more than his current deal, but not double as reported. However, despite his club standing by him through his antics, even if barton was offered waht he demanded in the first place (that double figure) he would now say no. He says it's nothing to do with the money, so who knows any different. I'd love to know how people know what he's been offered in his contract.
