Play to his strengths yes, you should always do that with your strikers, but don't go buying players to get the best out of him when we don't know whether he'll be staying or going whenever the window opens up. It just doesn't sound smart to me. Who do we know is staying? Do tell. We don't know, the club does though with most players - Owen isn't one of those because of his clause. Neither do i, that's why i said we should play to his strengths. All i said was that we shouldn't go buying players to get the best out of him when he might be off when the window opens. Terry and Ferdinand should work beautifully. One strong to charge things down, take control and get in faces, one better on the ball who can mop things up and bring the ball out. Gerrard and Lampard are too similar in style IMO. Don't disagree with your post at all. They don't work well together though, which begs the question......

Incidently, we hear enough of the fact that Lampard and Gerrard can't play together, but I get the feeling that Terry and Ferdinand isn't the best partnership either. EDIT: the reason Russia are causing the fullbacks problems is because SWP seems to have vanished, leaving Richards on his own. Milner would never do that
