  1. No, how stupid would be that be, Spanish nationality playing for England, i don't agree with it one bit. If you're English you play for England, if you're Spanish you play for Spain.

I think he will become a British citizen, hence why he can play for England.

I know  It's not the point is it? He was born in Spain.

Loads of players are born in one country and go on to represent another.

International Football is a dying sport anyway, everything that has happened in the past 20 years has gone against Nationalism.

  3. It's not paranoia if it's true.

I'd like to have a rant about biased commentators.

I find all the SKY, Setanta and BBC commentators are biased. Aren't they supposed to be neutral?

Their voices go up an octave with excitement when one of the 'big four' are attacking. They love it when the 'big four' win. The silence from Andy Gray and Martin Tyler (it was at least one of them commentating) when Taylor scored for NUFC against Arsenal was embarrassing. They screamed at the top of their voices when Arsenal scored. There is always a disappointed tone in their voices when Newcastle score, win a corner, free kick, etc. There are always a million replays when we foul someone but none when we are fouled. If the opposition have a goal ruled out for offside the replay is straight on (even when the game has restarted). I find they always want whoever Newcastle are playing to win. Newcastle are always the 'baddies'. We are either spoiling the title race by taking points off one of the top four or we are the cruel team trying to beat the basement clubs. The only reason the BBC will have picked the Stoke Vs Newcastle game is they are hoping there is a cup shock. On Sunday the commentators will say some bollocks like "Derby need the points" like Newcastle don't!

It's a shame you can't turn them off and still have the crowd atmosphere.

I think you are slightly paranoid.

Go around any club and their supporters will say the media have it in for them or have a bias against them.

  4. Fabregas shows what a prick he is yet again.

    He really is a total f****** w******.

Little spoilt brat that thinks he's a hard man but then s*** himself and play acted when Ashley Cole of all people got in his face.

I wish Mark Hughes would have smashed him last season.

Almost as bad as Cahill, when it comes to being a shit stirrer.

  5. Elano and Fabregas out.

    hmm...

Fabregas is doubtful for today, but he's got two games this gameweek.  Seeing as the second one is against us, I'm going to leave him in.  If he's out for both games it doesn't matter, my reading defender will come in with his Boro clean sheet points.

    Well that worked out well.

  6. Owen's value is going to decrease rapidly the closer his contract comes to expiring. The difference between January and next summer might be 2/3 million, plus you can always flog players for extra in the January window.

  7. Given - 6. Solid, but then he didn't have much to do. Stupid booking.

Beye - 7. I thought he looked really good down that right hand side. Eager to beat his man and he was one of the key men who could rattle Arsenal. Starting to come into his own. Made some great individual challenges. Best defender.

Taylor - 6.9. I thought he was a little bit ropey defensively, but he's worthy of a 7 purely for the goal. Could have won it at the end, too. That would have been mental.

Rozehnal - 5. Shaky, to say the least.

N'Zogbia - 6. He got up and supported well and he still looks like a good winger/average full-back. MAde some key interventions but quiet on the whole.

Geremi - 7. I actually thought he played a key role in our success last night. People don't notice him but you can really see how he does when you're actually there. He really held the team together and went close on a couple of opportunities. We really need him in the team.

Butt - 8. Probably my man of the match, actually. He was absolutely flawless infront of the defense. You could say this about all the players, but i think we would have lost had it not been for Butt's contribution, moreso than anyone else's.

Barton - 6. Quiet, but penetrated quite well in the second half.

Martins - 7. I'm gonna give him more credit than other people. I thought he battled exceptionally well in that second half, he was innovative but just took too many touches.

    Smith - 8. Won everything.

Milner - 7. He was on par with Martins contribution-wise, even though they played different roles. Not everything came off for him but he looked more like the Milner of last season with his running at the defense.

Agree. Dont know whats up with Roz! He's so weak, never wins the 1on1 in the air. He is really lacking ability for now, and I sincerely hope we come up with something better in January. Faye may do it, but he's not enough if we are to compete for the top spots. To those who cried out in August that Taylor was our 4th choice for CB. Well, youre wrong! He plays with passion every time, and he is a player for the future as well as a great starter for us now.

Cant stop getting annoyed by the fact that Martins is probably the fastest player in the PL, but never challenges anyone on it 1on1! Just kick the ball past him and run!!!

Smith has to continue up front. He's all over the place, in opposite to Viduka, who's allways to stationary.

Can't really see why Enrique's not playing. One of the reasons might be to please the fans. Play Enrique left back, Zog LW and Milner RW. Make Taylor captain, and use Geremi as back-up.

Talking about Geremi, anyone recognizing who the mother of Carews child resembles (a certain nufc-player wearing a wig) http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2041/carewsgirlym6.jpg

Dear Christ! that is scary. ;D

  8. While its good to see Smith finally playing in the correct position and producing the goods, I've got to laugh at the fact he has gone from being utterly hopeless a few weeks a go to a certain starter. The performance Smith produced yesterday is what you always get from him as a forward. A hard working battler but not a goal threat.
