    Players in public

Willie Donachie at Shell South Gosforth the other day.
  3. As Ive said before it really simple. If i have a free sat ( very rare) or its a midweek game, and I finish work- I want to decide then maybe 2-3 hours before kickoff and head up and just pay cash on the door, simple as that. Am i fair weather- lacking loyalty? Well when i was single less resposibilty had season tickets ,or went most games through 80s,90s. thats not how I want to do it now, it dosent fit with my lifestyle- the club is run by wankers, the players are greedy uncaring twats so I dont care, If they dont want my business Thats Ok. Nothing stopping you going to the box office and buying a ticket there and then for another part of the ground an hour or so before kick off. Greg, people prefer level 7 to other parts of the ground because people go to football games because of the atmosphere me included. You could further go onto this debate, by debating the introduction of terracing which would allow more fans which are paying less. Personally I go to support Newcastle United, if the atmosphere is great that it is a bonus.

  5. Jesus fucking Christ, no need.
  6. So you can't be arsed. Pathetic excuse.
  7. money / work / not being that arsed any more..... That's the real problem, the membership thing is just a convenient excuse. If anyone actually wanted to go to a game they would, as simple as that. So you honestly think LC would have been empty this season if it hadn't been members only? Don't talk daft. People don't want to become members and hardly anyone has. Look at the stadium plan for sunderland. thousands of tickets will go on general sale despite it being 2 per membership because there are so few members. No I don't think it would have been empty and it clearly has had a negative impact on attendances and was a bad move by the club but people are being lazy and using it as a convenient excuse.
  8. Thought you lived in Forest Hall not Antarctica?

If anyone actually wanted to go to a game they would, as simple as that. not always that cut and dry... but it is one factor with me, i admit. Should probably have said if anyone wants to go and can afford it they will go. Fully understand people have priorities (mortgages, children) etc but not going because of needing a membership to sit in one area of the stadium is just a pathetic excuse.

  11. I don't agree with what they have done but there are plenty of other parts of the ground you can buy a ticket for on the day of the game without a membership. Never heard so many excuses for not going to the match in my life.
  12. If you can't find £20 to go the game then you're either bankrupt or don't want to go.
  13. Don't see a problem with it being £20 myself, the equivalent game in the Premier League would be close to £40 a ticket.
  14. £20 adults, £10 for OAPs, tax dodgers and bairns.
  15. Wonder if the new Level 7 rule has had an affect too. See my post on the bottom of the previous page. I will take the bairn to arsenal at home in CCC. in l7 if we can pay on the Day. If we can not, i wont be going. Its just too much fuck on. How is it too much fuck on to order tickets online and have them posted to your house?
  16. All normal seats will sell out.
  17. Is that not because the cheaper tickets have already gone? I don't know either way so had assumed that it was. Nope, the club have put this as an A+ game, so then can charge a special price on tickets. So if i want to buy a ticket now, it will cost me £42 + £20 membership (I do get a £5 discount on the ticket still) but that is outrageous and just plain exploitation by the club tbh. It is called supply and demand, the demand is there for this game so they can easily charge that amount.
  18. I'll update the OP later and work out exactly how many more we need.
  19. Since their 2-0 lose to Chelsea at the Bridge they've beat Villa & Fulham, drew with West Ham, some good performances especially from K.Jones I wouldn't call a win and a draw in the league and a win in the League Cup a good run tbh, a few decent results but nothing more.
