  1. There's not really anyone else, that's why there's two full backs on the bench. Clark is injured and Mbemba is AWOL.
  2. I disagree. We need a squad, and with no quality available from our academy we need players like him in the squad that are happy to not play but can step in when needed, and while not great, can do a solid enough job. Our likely limited transfer funds should not be going on squad fillers, they should be spend on bringing in quality players better than anything already on the books in the key areas where we need to strengthen. Haidara is finished. He'll be leaving the club in a few weeks time.

  4. He signed a new six year deal before he went out on loan but you can never really tell with Chelsea - he played a reasonable amount of games before his big injury.
  5. They are in the process of implementing a new ticketing system with a new supplier so a bit later than usual so not really sure to be honest.
  6. Too lazy for Rafa, I would suggest. He works his arse off. He was only lazy when he was trying to get Mark Hughes sacked.
  7. Ah deflection. Still a good hit.
  8. TBF I said celebrate it like a cup win. Like go completely over the top as if they've blew through the 40 point mark and left teams in their wake. When the reality is they'd have been relegated in most of recent seasons on 35 points. And if Soton get a win they'll most likely be down. I've been awake since 4am, so my logic might be somewhat extreme atm. Anyway, Stoke need to get their finger out, they should be ahead. Greg wind your neck in It's Huddersfield Town. It doesn't matter if they crawl over the line it's a massive achievement and they should rightly celebrate it like it's their biggest achievement in the last 40 years if they do stay up. It's their first season in the top flight since 1972 and they've spent most of the last 20 years in the 3rd tier where Sunderland are heading. It gives them a fighting chance of consolidating and making something of this rather than falling back down.
  9. It's absolute bollocks that's what it is.
  10. As opposed to quietly celebrating staying up? Nar, it'll be celebrated as if they've defied all odds, instead of breathing a sigh of relief that 3 established PL clubs collectively out s*** them. So if they got the same amount of points as they might end up on now but got them all in the last 4 weeks of the season instead of earlier in the season that's fine and they can celebrate? Nonsense man. It's Huddersfield. Let them enjoy it.
  11. And so they should. Have I missed something? Erm yeah? They are going to stay up whilst continuing to lose their last 3 games because neither Stoke nor Soton have the balls to win more than 2 games since January. In their first season in the Premier League after spending most of the last 20 years in League 1 etc. it doesn't matter if they got all their points earlier in the season or whatever it is a massive achievement for them and they should rightly enjoy it and celebrate.
  12. Stoke seem up for this (as they should be), doubt they can keep up this intensity.
  13. Just watched it he seems fine. Sounds like he has a bit of cold but just says no news, talks are ongoing and ends with a cheeky smile.

  15. If Southampton win all their games Swansea can't catch us (or Brighton) hence we are both safe.

    Sunderland

That can't be right? If you disregard cup games, divide that by 19 and then again by 40k (assuming the average crowd would be about that?) then the average ticket price was under £12 a head. No wonder they were up s*** creek. They get a free season ticket with a Happy Meal.

  18. You can go on iPlayer now and watch it from the start.
  19. I urge everyone to email their MP. Tell them you expect them to attend the debate and that you expect them to be in favour of safe standing.
  20. I mean, I'm fairly certain Krul is better than Elliot - so in that sense it weakened us. Wouldn't want him as a starter though, but a better back-up than Elliot. He's not though. You'd honestly start Rob Elliot over Tim Krul if you had a choice between only those two? Rafa would as it was Rafa who told Krul he could leave. Well not necessarily on ability but just as likely to be based on wages and attitude.
