Strange that seemingly we have more fans in Scandanavia than we do in Scotland. I would have thought we would have had loads of Scottish fans with us being the nearest proper English club to Scotland and all. Obviously not.

A vaguely related question. I've heard it mentioned loads of times that Spurs have a huge fan base. Even on Talksport tonight that numpty Durham when talking about West Hams ambition to move into the 80k Olympic stadium said that in this country, only Man U and Spurs could sell out an 80k stadium. Now i know they have a waiting list but do Spurs really have the second biggest fanbase in the land? Where is the evidence for this?

I see what youre saying chris, just over 60k is an ideal capacity for us to have should we be challenging on a consistent basis. I have no doubts we would fill it every week with all the glory hunters etc. Challenging on a consistent basis is the never going to happen dream, though.

I think you also have to factor into tonights attendance the fact that the club have done pretty much everything apart from come out and say directly that they wish we werent in the FA cup this year. Our fans have heard this and obviously arent mugs. Well, all those except us who payed 20 quid to go and watch it!

While tonights crowd was poor, it still doesnt take away the fact that we have been consistently showing up 95% of the Premier League with our crowds this season, despite being in the Championship. The thread title is still valid imo.

They don't need to learn if people paid £20 for something which you thought was worth £10. They obviously could have made more money by reducing the prices and perhaps more than doubling the crowd and subsequently reaping the food and beer rewards that such a crowd would bring. So I suggest they do need to learn. Every man and his dog knew that this was going to be one of the worst crowds in decades. Everyone apart from NUFC that is.

How come my ticket cost 20 quid while everyone was getting in for 15 quid? Whats the craic with that? Should have been 10 quid for adults and 3-5 for kids. The club will never learn.

But its not about the state of the pitch why most games are off, It's about crowd safety mannnn.

Most of the coldest NFL cities have outdoor stadiums though. Ironically most of the domes are in the warmer cities. I think it's pretty even actually, iirc there's 6 or 7 domes, and four of them are in colder climates. Yeah it is pretty even however when you add in stadiums with fully retractable roofs I believe there are more in the warmer cities than the cold ones. But look at Green Bay, Chicago, New England, Cleveland, Cincinnati, New York, Buffalo, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Washington, Seattle etc etc all freezing in winter with proper outdoor stadiums.
