Glad to hear that it was a great atmosphere as I thought it sounded flat on Amazon. You could even hear the players shouting at times. The Comms even stated that "the noise is picking up now after a subdued start to the second half.

I was there yesterday. Halfway up the Gallowgate towards the GWC. I thought for the first 20 mins the atmosphere was really good. Hats off to the group in the GWC giving it ten nowt all game and of course the lads at the back of the Gallowgate too. It really wouldn't take much to make a big difference. The foundations are there to build on.

I heard Chris Waugh say that there has been much talk behind the scenes about the flat atmospheres lately and how to improve them and thats why they came up with the decision to give fans a free pint. It's mad really when all they have to do is come on here and read this thread and they could have it sorted by the beginning of next season.

It seemed dead on the telly especially at the beginning. The commentators were banging on about the "cauldron of noise" and that the man city players were going to need to use telepathy to communicate" and I'm sitting there thinking it's dead as fuck. I cannot fathom what enjoyment you get from sitting in silence at a cup semi final or any game for that matter. Whenever I see the likes of Bruno etc waving his hands to get the crowd going I cringe. He shouldnt have to do it. The new signings must be questioning what they have been told about our amazing fans etc. it's grim at the minute like.

I was in the Gallowgate today and I guess that me and the lad I was sitting next to today could be called day trippers but we were the only ones singing for about 10 rows around us towards the GWC. It is proper grim like. People are just emotionless. Two blokes behind me were chatting about going to the World Cup. Don't know how you can have that kind of dedication to be going to the World Cup but have zero interest in spurring the lads on. Mental tbh.

Imagine if we scrapped season tickets for one game and made everyone who wanted to go to that match queue up old school style for tickets. It would be fascinating to see what the atmosphere would be like. I reckon at least 50% of current season tickets holders wouldn't bother.
