  1. Im sure he hands Shearer a Lucozade bottle and Shearer just grabs it and completely ignores him trying to look cool for the camera.
  2. I remember it like yesterday, I was listening to it on the radio and when we went a goal down so I decided I wouldnt resist my bodies effort to go to sleep thinking we'd get buried. I then wake up just after full time, delighted to find out we'd won but angry to have missed all the excitement! :wullie:
  3. You can bet the corporate seats will be swelled by cockney/manc glory hunters tho, some of them will probably be geordie an aarl.
  4. Gets sung numerous times at every away game, not so much at home, its at its best when sung just after we score away from home imo full gusto.....................pure class.
  5. Is it just me or do we seem to suffer from an injury crisis year after year, practically every season for us is destroyed by injuries.
  6. Great photo mate thats definately a keeper! Glad you enjoyed it.
  7. His corners and free kicks are poor but I've thought he's been doing well recently in general.
  8. That's a great idea for you to do.I'll watch you game against Reading and I would really like it to see you guys jumping in the rhythm of the "pippi longstocking jumping song'' like we do in Frankfurt. The fact is that attitudes at stadiums in England and Germany are very different. There are a few reasons why we could never have the whole end jumping like you lot: 1. Behind the goal at Frankfurt is obviously a recognised place for the 'singers' to congregate - We have no such area to do this as the hardcore suppoters are scattered amongst families etc. 2. It is illegal to stand on masse during the match at Premiership games - yes we do it at away from home but at home it simply would not happen.
  9. Anyone else witness this? In the Leazes, grown men fighting over free scarves! Basically a load of the turnstyles ran out of scarves so there was a big scrap on to get them, a massive mob cornered a steward who was clinging on to a box of them like it was his pay packet! people were just diving in for them. Owt for nowt I suppose.
  10. Seriouisly? Im a scouser who lives in north shields, but driving to liverpool today, i had that centuary on, and they said there was a good take up for tickets. I havent got a liverpool season ticket, but go every match. Didnt bother ordering a ticket for today as i thought i could pay in. Anyway got here and was lucky to pick a ticket up off one of the lads, total sell out. I reckon newcastle will be close to the same. I know me wife is going as she doesnt get the chance for league games. How much were liverpool charging? it looked a full house on the telly. Surely not £20 a ticket though? Yes £20 notes mate, loads of people there that dont usually go, a lot of kids as well which is a good thing, for games like that we should be selling kids tickets for about £5. yea i think all clubs should do that, like has already been mentioned on here before, if kids tickets were only a fiver im sure we would have had at least another 5k if not more Think king harry gave slightly the wrong impression - there weren't any kids tickets for sale as such, only adult and child tickets for £30. Great turnout and it highlights the general apathy around this place as we would normally match anybody for crowds in league cup games. Anyhoo speaking of attendances I remember Liverpool got 33,000 against Pompey for a league game two seasons ago was there a big reason for this?, just seems strange that Liverpool can get 42,000 last night in the cup but such a low crowd for a league game?.

    ITV

Anyone else notice that when it is not a televised game that the cameras at SJP are not focused properly. See Mansfield last season as another example. poor tbh.

    Town full of....

Me too please! What is Middlesborough famous for apart from smog and parmos?.
  15. Totally and utterly refuse to pay £20 for carling cup third round. Complete disgrace of a price. A few years back we got west brom at home in the same round and it was £10-15 to get in and we got a full house. theres no way we are getting over 30,000 tbh as I cant imagine Pompey will bring as many fans as Fenerbache who kept us above the magical 30k mark last week.

Im not condoning the chants but this must be the first Smoggs/Newcastle match youve been too as it is sung year in and year out without fail.

    Martin O'Neill

I remember that aswell, after he said it I'm sure he said something like " but I'll give you 'angels', that was a good song, well done, I really liked that one." I enjoy his punditry, it is a welcome change from all the normal boring pundits.
