First of all I doubt whether he has £37 million he needs. I not he needs to find a kind bank to lend him the money in a volatile business in which the company has been making a loss. And if the rumours of his ill health are true I couldn't see him wanting to take on more responsibility.

Sven has admitted that Owen could have played against Chelsea, if he was fit why didn't he? Against Birmingham he complained of a dull pain in his foot but was otherwise ok, his surgeon then told him the pain was normal and to be expected but how come we then didn't see him for the rest of the season? Surely if the bone had healed well enough to come on against Brum he should have figured in our remaining games? I agree with Kaka, it is clear that Owen has saved himself for England, he was afraid of damaging his foot again and being out of the WC. I'm sure he is proud to play for England but at the end of the day the club who pays his huge wages should be his main priority. So far we have not had value for money and it doesn't look like we're going to for the forseeable fututre.

Chopra is a prime example of someone who wants to play for the club and is willing to bust a gut for it, unfortunately I don't think he has the talent but if given the same opportunities Shola has he could have proved me wrong, however I don't think he will be given the same sort of time.

Has to do a bit of work to do that. I hope tonight has shown him what NUFC is all about, he has been getting a lot of shit recently but he will have seen tonight exactly what a bit of graft and 206 goals gets you in Newcastle, hopefully it'll have re-invigorated the lad for next season.
