Can’t be laid solely at his door, I agree, but when he’s got his nephew in charge of transfers over the summer, I don’t believe for one second he hasn’t pushed those players to be signed and he’s not signed off on them. That was the shitshow of the window, but you have to work with the structure you have. The facts are, he’s got the players to play different systems, but won’t. If he’s going to go down the 433 only route, he needs to make sure it works and we get positive results over the season, he hasn’t and it hasn’t. He’s only himself to blame for the position the club and himself finds itself in. Theres nothing on show that says, it will be different next season. Another season of 433, putting square pegs in round holes etc. We will probably improve next season, as it’s been shown with a season on and season off in Europe over his tenure. Is that what we expect to be now? Good season followed by bad season? But give him next season, it’ll be better once he signs the players he wants/has the correct infrastructure above him/has more time on the training ground. If he stays, bet we’re having this exact conversation in 2 years time. I just want my club to push on and be the best it can, I don’t think it can be under Howe, unfortunately.

We can go around in circles many times over, it’s been discussed at length on here. He had the funds available in the summer and January to “turn it around” and this what we’ve ended up with. He’s moulded the squad into what he wanted, he wouldn’t have signed off on the transfers in the summer otherwise. You think we should give him another boatload of cash to blow on crap again this summer?
