Some of the more depressing knock on effect of today's news is that this guy moves closer to first choice and closer to staying yet again.

A year ago would be mad to think we'd be knocking back £30m for a player from our academy now. But as long as he wants to stay, it's so overwhelmingly the right move. No brainer.
Nothing dubious about the goals, iirc. First one was lucky as there was some big deflection involved and the second was gut wrenching in its timing but a good header.
