Owen would have been past the defender and the arm was well away from the guy's body. It's not a completely intentional hand ball but it's definitely a pen.
-
Martins needs to get those balls under control. No chance of a pen on the first shout involving him. Had he maybe managed to control the ball properly ahead of him, then he would have had a solid shout. But no chance the way the ball just fizzled away.
The one that was given Sunderland can have no complaints tbh.
We could really hurt them with long balls over the top to Martins, but he hasn't been playing the cleverly enough.

The fuck Geremi man. Woeful passing, delivery... big weak link on our side in the first half.
Got to admire the commitment from everyone else though. Faye/Enrique and Beye have been very very good.
I must be watching a different game to you, Geremi has played well IMO, fantastic ball for Owens first goal. I must admit eveyones passing has been sloppy compared to of late.
true one great ball... he was due though other than that he's been terrible in his passing. Good job Butt has been there to clear up behind him.

Brilliant finish! Flashed in front of his marker before the guy had a clue what was gong on. Fantastic header.

Can't stop scoring that lot.

"Keller fouled" by running into and slightly under Voronin, fucking hate the protection keepers get. Think I have said this before but if I was a premiership keeper i would just run staight into an opposing player as soon as a ball came into the box!
Even more ridiculous in the French league. I've heard commentators and coaches mention on several occasions some made up rule saying "you're not allowed to touch the keeper within the 6yards box" ...
Common sense is non existent in that league.

His is goal in on the official MLS site now.

Very good

Bordeaux aren't dead yet although it'll be tough. Situation is pretty similar to the ManU/Chelsea one I guess.
maybe they can mount a challenge next season. PSG have been awful for a long while now.

Class. Look forward to seeing it.

Nice ones Luc

Come on Derby... they need another 3 points to not beat Sunderland's record right?
1-1 at WestHam

I didn't realise FA Cup and England games had gone to ITV though. When the fuck did this happen?
Just noticed this as you mention it. What terrible terrible news. ITV shouldnt be allowed right to anything no matter how much money they might have.

The original is pretty good already

Gullit fucked up everywhere he went. At Chelsea, us, Feyenoord and now LA.
But maybe I should have voted Souness because, if memory serves me, the first year under gullit wasn't that bad.
Not that I like the bloke but how did Gullit fuck up at Chelsea exactly?
One of the reasons he got the NUFC job was because he did so well at Chelsea.

Souness: what did he leave the club/his successor to work with? It's been two years, still recovering from his handiwork.
At least Allardyce brought in some promising talent for Keegan to work with (Beye, Faye, Enrique, even Barton & Viduka are fitting in well). Who did Souness buy that has been a positive for NUFC? Please consider that about 5 weeks ago, Souness publicly denied any responsibility for Owen's arrival at the club. Who's left?
The difference being a good manager came in after Allardyce who got the best out of those players, Souness was followed by Glenn Roeder who didn't get the best out of anyone.
Who's to say how the likes of Parker, Solano, Luque etc would have done for us under Keegan's management?
That team finished 7th under Roeder. He was an improvement over Souness.
How much of that was down to Roeder though? In hindsight (with the whole season we had with him after) that late run might have been mostly the Souey weight off everyone's shoulders.

The only reason most don't see him as a competitor for the best player in the world is becuase he isn't as full of tricks as Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka etc.
He really is a British bulldog which is why I love to watch him play. A no nonsense approach yet a very skillful and tidy one.

Thought so. The Sky commentators are making all sorts of mistakes. Said it was Owen's sixth of the season and kept calling Geremi "Beye" in the first 15 minutes.
