Gullit fucked up everywhere he went. At Chelsea, us, Feyenoord and now LA.
But maybe I should have voted Souness because, if memory serves me, the first year under gullit wasn't that bad.
Not that I like the bloke but how did Gullit fuck up at Chelsea exactly?
One of the reasons he got the NUFC job was because he did so well at Chelsea.

Souness: what did he leave the club/his successor to work with? It's been two years, still recovering from his handiwork.
At least Allardyce brought in some promising talent for Keegan to work with (Beye, Faye, Enrique, even Barton & Viduka are fitting in well). Who did Souness buy that has been a positive for NUFC? Please consider that about 5 weeks ago, Souness publicly denied any responsibility for Owen's arrival at the club. Who's left?
The difference being a good manager came in after Allardyce who got the best out of those players, Souness was followed by Glenn Roeder who didn't get the best out of anyone.
Who's to say how the likes of Parker, Solano, Luque etc would have done for us under Keegan's management?
That team finished 7th under Roeder. He was an improvement over Souness.
How much of that was down to Roeder though? In hindsight (with the whole season we had with him after) that late run might have been mostly the Souey weight off everyone's shoulders.

The only reason most don't see him as a competitor for the best player in the world is becuase he isn't as full of tricks as Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka etc.
He really is a British bulldog which is why I love to watch him play. A no nonsense approach yet a very skillful and tidy one.

Souness.
Although I hate Dalglish too... Souey's reign was just ridiculous. The saga just got more and more pathetic. Ending with the last month of us having to listen to his post match comments not being about the game but about how his family is important to him and comes first...
Have respect for all the others the others. Ok maybe not that much for Allardyce, but certainly for Gullit.
-
Bit of romanticised view, which he's entitled to. But he's certainly taken on another dimension since going to ManU.
Might be a step under the Messis or Kakas but he's still world class already.
-
As if Arsenal players had integrity and were the kind to keep their word anyway...
-
Absolute wankers, Chelsea fans. Most of them will probably be gutted if Grant wins the league because they want their precious Jose back. Although I hate the club and the fans, I'd almost like to see Grant win it. I've said for a while that Mourinho's Chelsea record proved very little.
Grant's done really well. Come in under very difficult circumstances and just gone on with the job and they've been getting a lot of results since he took over. The man deserves a lot of credit. But aye, hopefully this Chelski era will topple soon.

Didn't Shearer kill Keith Gillespie, such that the Keith Gillespie we see today isn't Keith Gillespie, just like Paul McCartney isn't Paul McCartney?
Had never heard that twist on the old tale before!

Batty was class in his better years for us. Just a ball chasing, one touch passing, simple and efficient player.

the guy isn't the greatest but he always gave 100%
Ugh...
Alan Smith gives a 110%, the problem is..when your shit, YOUR SHIT..
Enough about my shit. The thing about Shola is that he talked a good game, and said he intends to give his all, but once out there, he's a lazy git.

What a cunt he is though for show-boating at the end of the game - you did fuck all you fucking cunt, pass it someone who deserves to bask in whatever 'glory' you thought you were basking in.
That was pretty typical. Once his team are back in the lead he does his pointless tricks. He is the king of petty.

... wish it was next week already.

Lehmann expecting Hargreaves to run over it?
Good point... probably was.
-
Get in the Greavster!! \o/

And Rooney also fails to convert another great chance.
Bit harsh on him, very good save from Lehmann to be fair.
Can see United winning this tbh, they're bound to have a good patch at some point and I'm not sure Arsenal can keep them out under any pressure.
How good would Hleb be if he posed even the slightest of goal threat btw? Shields the ball so well and has to be one of the best dribblers in the game, along with being a very intelligent reader of the game. But I doubt he's even in double figures for goals in his entire Arsenal career, having been there almost 3 years at this point and playing quite the advanced role most of the time.
Fuk sake man.
Did you think he was talking about Arsenal United?
-
Good. Lemon is an absolute twat as well.
But aye, Ronaldo has not done much in this big game again.
-
Same old Arsenal, always cheating ey?
Hopefully ManU will get back into this.
