Was great seeing him back at the end of last season playing, creating and scoring just like before. Was pivotal in ManU's title win.

Read on a forum just recently someone had Scholes listed as one of their most hated players... I thought wtf? How can you hate Scholes? You must just not like football much.

The comparison between Shearer and Batistuta is very very fitting I find. Two very similar players with also very similar careers. Which is why I'm always annoyed at how little Shearer is recognised over here in France for example whereas everyone will see Batistuta as giant of the game.

And trying to put bias aside I would take a prime Shearer up front over a prime Batigol without hesitation.

you look at rules that referees don't enforce or are useless at judging yet they are 100% consistent about booking a player for removing a shirt. bit harsh.

Certainly don't wish him any harm but at the same time I don't really wish him well either. Don't think he'd do consistently well at any level above league 2 tbh and especially not a top Championship team.
