On 85 minutes and 2-1 down, kid next to me told his dad that "we need to bring on Colback now".
I despair.
(Plus we'd already made all changes, but will let him off for that).

Dreading Wednesday now
... Is there a pun in there somewhere? I'm never too sure with you.
-
Oh, we certainly need someone new. But so far it's looked like we've been playing specifically like we had a tall target point up front just without him actually being there.
-
First half was just a waste of everyone's time. Should have all just collectively slept through it.
Worried about Lascelles amongst many other things. So many poor touches, missed controls, dodgy clearances... Our defence was split down the middle in the second half. The gulf in quality between the Mbemba/Janmaat and the Lascelles/Dummett duos is scary. The latter looks like they will struggle to survive even at this level.

We've been putting in loads of crosses so far in both games. Deliberately so even. Deliberately playing wide, basically because it's the path of least resistance and we haven't been able to create anything.
Problem is we have midgets up front. Today Anita was even getting into the box for them for crying out loud.
If we have no plan B, then yes I think Mitrovic will make a difference for the better. By having a real aerial option in the box but also by occupying defenders and giving Gayle/Ayoze/Ritchie more room with the scraps.

So lethargic and unwilling to go forward in the first half. It was Ritchie that kicked him into gear really.

Sky's SD is getting worse. I swear they deliberately downgrade the quality so you have to pay the HD charge.
Was whinging about this to a mate last week. Classic dick move from Sky, and totally unsurprising.
Shabby.
Would think any paid subscription TV should offer HD by default nowadays too.

Speaking of photos, check out the latest one Shearer has for his Twitter profile

Dele Alli pulling a Depay and refusing to use his second name on his shirt.
Saw something about this earlier, apparently it was a "long thought out decision"... What is he taking about exactly, is there any really reason here?

Tough game for him today, playing as the lone striker against a very defensive side
You defend from the front though, kept it at 0-0 for 65 minutes. Never did that here the fat waster.
1-0 PSG now.

Wishing the best of luck to @NUFC tonight in their first game of the #EFL season. I hope they have a swift return to the Premier League. JK
Always JK... we can never know if serious.

Guys at work were complaining on Friday about not receiving theirs yet.
Bought two tickets for the Huddersfield game, and couldn't get them right next to each other. Must be easily over 50k already.

Vardy did well there.

The things Steven Taylor will have you do

Far more relevant is his fucking disgusting performance Friday night.
Yes, that's what I said.
-
It's the worst thing he's done by an absolute mile, man.
I'm far more offended by the utter disgrace he has been in our shirt than anything he's done playing for someone else.
If he was any good or even just decent that celebration wouldn't matter. But because he's such a terrible human being and lives off the whole local lad persona, it's one more stick he deserves to be beaten with.
-
Just fuck off and die, Colback, man
-
The hate for Colback is well over the top mind
No. It's not enough.
-
Exactly, I would not be happy about that being my home ground. Free or not.
-
Maybe just a bit chunky from the vacaciones.

He seemed to have turned a corner under Rafa. I was hoping he'd stay as I think he has something to offer.
Indeed, funny that. Six months back a headline like this would have been good and even a few years overdue. Now I'd be disappointed to see him go.
-
Thought he played well in the first game which was promising. But went to shit after that.
BBC did a portrait of him before Poland's opening game and compared him to Bergkamp. I can definitely see it in the way he plays but that stuck with me and every time he messed up made it all the funnier.

No begrudging him not beating players, but he was lethargic and negative in his overall play. Miscontrolling the ball, hesitant, only ever playing the ball backwards... Basically looked like he couldn't be arsed.
Ritchie injected life into the game and into Janmaat. He had no choice but to keep up. It was quite comical at times even, like when he wanted to go over to take a throw in and calm things down a little, Ritchie had already grabbed the ball and chucked it to his feet
