Like quite a few people on here who read what they wanted to read. our demise of the last 18 months and current shambles isn't a figment of anyones imagination, other than those who refuse to admit it. only 18 months ?

part of Givens quote ‘When he signed a new five-year contract in 2006 it was on the basis that the club would challenge for major honours, but on the present evidence all that he can see ahead with the turmoil on and off the pitch is a battle for survival." Pm me about it if you like, but I can't see the point. This, in my opinion, is what this is all about, however you and one or two others might wish to deny it. we haven't challenged for major honours since robsons team finished 3rd, been downhill ever since. 3rd. Under the embarrassing old regime ? You don't say. How can that be possible. Back on topic, interesting to see the expected people now glossing over this and building up Harper. Probably said the same thing about Ian Bogie replacing Gazza. How marvellous to see the club with the 3rd biggest support in the country resort to losing its best players again. On the other hand, as mick predictably doesn't reply, I'm only 99.9% sure. because you know, like the vast majority of people on here who think the previous board done well, then lost it. we've been over this a million times and it's pointless as you wont accept the way the club was going backwrads under the previous board. you could say it was as bad as selling ferdinand ,against his will in the large part aswell. see post 290. yip the club took action...........they appointed souness and roeder. Shame we don't appoint the right man every time just like everybody else does. been here before and you never name a club who made such poor decisions as often and didn't take the blame for it. eerrr........but they have. They have gone, you have what you wanted. Automatic better replacements ? and they deserved the blame..yes ? are you admitting their appointments took the club backwards ? told you this before. If "blame" means the best 15 years supporting the club, by far, in terms of league positions, european qualifications, and bringing top footballers to the club, than anything before, then I don't blame them for anything. We are going backwards now, because the ambition is lower than before. so you don't think we were going backwards after that 3rd place finish ?

Linked with a double deal for him and Stephen Quinn (LW) on the Ceefax 338 page. The ginger haired chap? Och. Well (if there's any truth in that), atleast Kinnear has identified that we're short at left-wing. It doesn't matter if you've only got one right-back, so long as you've got four left-wingers - you tend to get by. So it's a big hearty 'phew' from me on this one. We have more left wingers than New Labour. none ? -

no it's not fair play. it's sneaky and underhanded. be honest and upfront about it instead using semantics to try and save a few quid.

pissed off if this is true at the way given has handled this. if he wants away, put a transfer request in. don't be fucking about with phrases such as "considering his options" as sticking a request in or staying are his only options. (i wonder if man utd had came sniffing before he signed his contract he' have "considered his options " then)

Can birds fly? hehe hes faster then Martins imo I'd like to see that race I reckon Martins is faster. I'd say so aswell Martins doesn't use his pace well though. For someone so quick, how many times do you see him running clear of the last defender? Part of it is down to the lack of any sort of through ball player in our midfield. mmmmm.......half of the through ball is the movement made so the player with the ball sees where to put it. martins movement is poor -

I don't like it with anything. Glenmorangie and my eyes must be going as it's labelled as 10 years old but I've had it for two years. The label said "Perfected by the 16 men of tain." have you tried cutting it with the right amount of water ? i always thought neat was the true way.....then someone taught me it wasn't -
