    Allardyce!

Apart from the fact that even Ashley wants to watch entertaining football. I'm not convinced. You need good players for that. Yeah, I'm sure he spent all this money on the club (in the first place at least before you start on about transfers) to watch a dull side. No he bought it to make more money. The football played is irrelevant as long as it's cheap. Ah OK. And you know this how? From his actions since he bought the club. It's fairly obvious if you don't take every opportunity to stuff yourself up his hoop. you could make the argument that his actions since taking over have drove the value of the club down, less incoming monies, making it less likely he'll make money on his investment.
  2. bid from us ? Me and you? .my e-mails playing up so you must've sent it.
  3. I hope they fail miserably. really ? i hope they fail spectacularly.
  4. seems to mean hasn't seen them recently in order to know wether they'd be worth taking on........ie colo or even appiah as i haven't seen him play in about 18months.
  5. aye........by the thousands in brown envelopes (allegedly)
  6. Anyone who isn't successful for us is almost immediately derided by a large portion of fans. Now people are entitled to say what they want but the whole hating someone/abusing them isn't something I personally get into very often. Whatever people think of them, I'm sure a lot of these people (such as Allardyce) believed in what they were doing and were honestly trying to help the club out. They tried, and they failed. I can personally be very critical when I need to be and I don't mind using strong words. I leave the hatred and abuse out of it though, my problems with people related to the club tend to be performance-related, not about them as a person. People however deserve (in my opinion) to be disliked for certain reasons, such as not putting the application that is required in (especially the players who paid vast sums), acting like N'Zogbia recently and whoring yourself around and dragging the club's name down with it, doing things on and off the pitch that bring the club down, lying, and disrespecting others. the major problem with allardyce was that decisions he made often seemed to made out of spite ("i know best and i'm going to play alan smith in midfield just to prove i can", "i will play milner on the left and n,zogbia on the right"))
  7. silly silly parky. who says he's a 10million player ? how many times does everyone say player x is worth a certain price but he moves for twice that ? and it often works in reverse too.
  8. Xisco & Nacho Gonzalez' loan fee? Yeah, because Gonzalez loan fee was £6,2 million is this an FM type thing where transfer money can only be used on other transfers ? how much did we spend against how much we brought in ? how much will gutierrez actually cost assuming the case is still going on ? I heard Jonas could cost us anything up to 15M I think the case is Feb 1st. I think the person you heard that off hasn't a clue what he's talking about. It's up to Gutierrez to pay any compensation for one thing, not the club. It has nothing to do with us unless they can prove we were in contact with him before he terminated his contract and induced him to leave. If that were the case, he'd be banned for playing for 4 months and we'd be banned from making any transfers for 2 windows. pretty sure the fifa law is quite draconian to the extent that a club has to prove it had no contact otherwise it will be assumed that there was contact.

  10. the exchange rate and the fact that the player may have scuppered the first deal awaiting one of the big guns to come, which hasn't mareialised. having said that i can't see it happeneing.
  11. what needs to happen - and I know that this will do down like a lead balloon and certain "long term supporters" will deny or ignore it, but it needs someone to come in with the attitude that the Halls and Shepherd came in with i couldn't agree more
  12. i'll give you a couple of clues sam......derby took 4 points off us (should've been 6) and your quotes that at 3 goals down in 15mins at home to portsmouth "what can you do"...well sam we were only 2 goals down with 70mins to go and you didn't have a fucking clue
  13. kaka fee reported to be £107million (whaich at the current exchange rate is 47euro and a wispa)
  14. I'd be surprised if it wasn't cash up-front. Very surprised. Aye, I'd be surprised if City have anywhere near the assets to secure the amount of spending they will be doing. chelsea didn't have the assets but if someone will act as a guarantor as abramovic does then it is doable.
  15. I'm still finding it very hard to believe we've signed him, a lad saw him train and play and said he was really poor. i'm finding it very hard to believe as on page 4........... and what with your fantastic journalistic prowess i thought you if anyone would know, The Journalism career has nowt to do with it. As I explained to Greg, I said to a friend of mine whom I went to school with (Currently on the books) had he seen a brazilian lad at the training ground training with them? He said yes and he was really bad and had been sent home. I showed him the link saying is this him, and he said yes. lesson one.......check your sources. I believe you should save that till he's posing with a shirt in the ground. i'm not saying wether he has signed or not.

  18. f***ing hell, what a mentalist beats me why so many people read the s**** that she puts out, never mind the rag full stop I bet you were enjoying it until you got to this bit though: I do remember some people claiming that Phil Gartside was a good chairman. Don't really know where they got the idea from, probably on account of the fact that Allardyce did a great job at Bolton, who then promoted Sammy Lee, like lots of other chairman who appoint number 2's into the number 1. When was the last time we promoted a number 2 to a number 1? I'm failing to see if you're meaning it's positive or negative tbh. why do you want to know when we last promoted a number 2 ? I'm pointing out that, according to many people, you don't appoint number 2's, yet supposedly good chairman elsewhere have promoted number 2's to the manager's job ? Lots of them have, in fact, and some of them have also been very successful. At the time, I thought giving Roeder a crack had some merit. It seems now that Shearer was a good number 2 to Roeder, and very influential. But thats just hindsight and speculation, although hindsight views suit some people who can't state a judgement. So it didn't work out for him, and correctly for NUFC having ambitions much higher than mid table positions, they decided they wanted better, unlike Ashley and also unlike their predecessors. roeder wasn't our no.2 but he did continue the rot that started with souness. 7th in the league. A position gained only twice in over 30 years prior to 1992. You consider that failure ? It confirms everything I've said about ambition and expectation. did you go much that season ? we spent the vast majority worrying about relegation and how we finished 7th is beyond me as we played far worse than we did under robson in the mid table years.

  20. signing m'bia would make sense if n'zogbia were to leave as the club shops would be left with a load of apostrophes.
