    RIP DOF TBH?

NUFC's best spell of late came with a DOF in place
  2. pretty sure kinnear would play barton and gutierrez every week had they not been injured/suspended or in yesterdays case cvoming back from lengthy spells out and the rest of the team coming off a good performance.
  3. WHS. 5 of the bench should have started today (Xisco, Enrique, Jonas, Barton and N'Zogbia for Shola, Bassong, Geremi, Butt and Duff respectively) and we'd have had a much better chance in the game. Fitness shouldn't be an issue, Jonas is the fittest player I've ever seen so a while out with a bad shoulder won't have changed things that much, and Barton hasn't been injured he's been banned so again fitness shouldn't be relevant. Barton could be short of match sharpness perhaps, but not fitness. And he'll only get match sharpness by playing. Really needs to have the balls to make some changes for the next match. theres a difference between fit and match fit. even barton has said it will take 4 or 5 games till he is match fit.
  4. besed on the fact the he talks a lot of shite ?
  5. not in the slightest.......i'll always rage against what i think is wrong though.
  6. he didn't look great under keegan. fleetingly looked great under roeder. he didn't play left wing yesterday just that we mainly had possession over that side and his poor movement off the ball gives little option for much else. with Kinnear as manager has hasn't a chance in hell, under Keegan he was scoring goals and terrorising defenders aye righto goals and assists generally dont lie concerning such matters give me overall play that i see over stats. and as for goals and assists don't lie...geremi

  8. there is a system which "speaks" the net. many blind people use the net.

  10. just realised my slightly sick pun.
  11. on a general note about policing at games. at SJP until a couple of years ago the cops had it sussed, particularly against the inbreds but recently it seems like they've been a shambles. do northumbria or durham constabulary do games at the sty ?
  12. he's blind so you aren't allowed to slag off his views or opinions.
  13. Add Owen and Viduka and we're not as bad as some people think. i don't think we'll ever add viduka again
  14. Tell that to Brian Clough and Nottingham Forest, or Sir Bobby Robson and Ipswich. Clough was a big spender, he broke the transfer record when he bought Trevor Francis for starters, and Bobby Robson never won the title or the European Cup. As usual, you don't make much of a point but you have said in the past that a manager who won the UEFA Cup is a good manager whereas another one who won 4 titles with 2 different clubs and 3 manager of the year awards isn't. So its hardly surprising. Also for someone who backed Souness until the day he left........ and you say a board that took us from 3rd to 13th. a good manager to a shit manager (times 3) profititability to massive debt is a good board plus ca change!
  15. one of my fave mackem stories is of my mates older brothers very cockney father in law when pulled up at lights in noerth london and seeing a window sticker of the car behind bearing SAFC, gets out the car, walks round the back and waves his keys, exclaiming in broad uncle albertese "whese keys are these then mate....whese keys are these"
  16. I think you're right but it isn't just about football, they know we have a better city. I was arguing with the Everton fan at work today about how it's a much bigger rivalry than the Merseyside, Manchester or North London derbies because it's not just about football, not in a bad way like the Old Firm and their religious rubbish but in a good way about civic pride. I work on the Quayside and when walking towards the Tyne Bridge today with the sun shining behind it, I could feel that pride and the will to better them tomorrow surging through me. Newcastle is and always will be the greatest city in this area and the fact that our football club is bigger and better just enrages the inbreds even more. I always love to point out that those I know attend one of our 2 universities, and that most of them live in our city. It really gets on their tails. I saw some cow wandering round Morrisons in a mackem shirt the weekend after they beat Boro and we lost at West Ham with the smuggest look on her face, tittering to her boyfriend about all the dirty looks she was getting, I thought "what the f*** have you got to be smug about love, the fact that you support a team from such a shithole that you've chosen to come and live in a real city?" Same with arseholes who walk round the toon in red and white. Why don't you just wave a flag above your head saying "I'm here because sunderland town centre's a hovel" and have done with it? kid of about 8 years in Byker Morries the other week with a mackem top on. Was funny as f***, 40-50 year old blokes quite openly having a dig at him. Im only 25 and find myself getting more and more furious when I see random kids walking around Tyneside in any other football shirt but a Newcastle one. I cant help it. Sad I know. on holiday in the med...kavos mid 90's. about 20 of us plus about 20 hangers on (about a dozen femmes ) someone notices, walking down the beach, mackem clad pa and son (bout 10yrs)..a mackem joke comes up...a giggle..then more giggles..as they get close to us the giggles become guffaws to screaming laughter then as they pass us the laughs subside, eyes are wiped and we are all happy...................except pa..."bastards"

  20. what a line.....WHAT AN ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT LINE
  21. or maybe it's pretty rare they have the opportunity to say they are the better team so best make the most of it on the few chances they get
  22. this times 10 last time they beat us i was getting gloated at at work by lads i'd worked with for years and had no idea they had any football leaniongs at all (probably shame) then they beat us and its "two one eh ? eh? two one eh ?)
