Why not??? if we think within our realm, we will never improve. Football is about the world and not about our city alone, wonder why the likes of Pool, Man U and even Spurs and believe it or not Leeds are more popular than us. It upsets me when i go to places like China and Singapore and they are not very familiar with the Newcastle name. They only know it as Shearer's club who is basically not very good. Anyway, its a chain reaction, if we are really no good and stay as over-rans, our standing be it Scotland or France will dwindle and that is negative as far as i am concerned. In a way, its a measurement of our success and progress as a football team. weird as wherever i've been in europe newcastle is at least as popular as spurs, more than everton and leeds don't even get on the radar. you are on the wind up.

No. It means Spurs have an agreement to allow the other club to sign them now but then sell them to Spurs for less in the future. All players directly or indirectly belong to Tottenham. Tottenham is football and football is Tottenham.

whenever any player moves to a club that isn't spurs does it mean he has turned spurs down ?

Low door frames at the training ground, I hear. nah, bobby said we had the best door frames in the league he meant goal posts. you know what he was like It was a few years ago now though. We may have bigger door frames than most clubs, but other clubs have better door handles these days. Its a catch up scenario for us again I'm afraid Spot on. My wife was saying if the Arsenal or even Spurs are rumoured to be interested in him, he will make noises to force the club to accept the move. As for us, he is just not interested. He has a reputation of being a confident and sometimes quite difficult character. To deviate slightly, my wife's words did make me wonder on the rumoured Turan and Dunne moves, if we are considered attractive propositions, am sure the transfers would have gathered paced substantially with the players expressing their wishes to move to the clubs. As like my missus say, we are both supporting clubs of dwindling reputations. why don't you bugger off and let your Mrs on to the forum ?

Aye, why was the title changed? Nice with a bit of Russian to mix things up. cos no-one on here knows the hebrew translation

Never liked the bloke, but felt sorry for him when he was collecting his medal at the end, dunno how anybody couldn't really. He looked a broken man. the medal that some Chelsea fan has now got. If thats not a signal of it being the end, then what is. Well.... at the end of the day, player for player Chelsea have the best squad in the country and they've ended up winning nothing. I'm sure Grant is a nice enough guy, but does he give his players that little bit extra? Don't think so. It's not his squad and they were playing catch up from the moment he took over. He was also a slip from his captain away from winning the European Cup. Done a remarkable job imo. good job maybe....remarkable is stretching it a bit

i like the idea of a match between "his 2 teams". i also likie the idea of a friendly against the same team or so every close season. even hartlepool one season then darlo the next would be canny to add some sort of regularity or tradition

No self respecting Newcastle fan would allow a kid to follow another club and I can't begin to get my head around somebody buying a kid another clubs shirt. Yet I've been getting s*** for supporting Newcastle on this very forum... Agree with you, btw, and agree with Decky. It's s*** the way these plastic fuckers are the "winners". Still, like someone said, once (if) we win something, it'll be f***ing massive! i even know non-nufc fans from outside the area who had palns to get to newcastle had we won any of the finals as they knew it would be a party to get to
-
True but that was always my plan b. shurely plan b is to force the little buggers. plan a being the obviously standard "you're from newcastle...support newcastle"

very freudian

i feel that but it's pervers living in newcastle. yes it would be amazing being at wembley or wherever when nufc win something but missing out on being in newcastle for that night would kill it a bit for me. the 2 cup finals would have been spoilt if we;d won by wtching the trophy being held aloft by fleeing to kings cross to get back in time to get a bit of THE celebration

there was a few surprising choices......anelka and giggs not being in the respective first 5's

Im from Northern Ireland am i not allowed to support Newcastle? why do you.....out of curiosity ?
-
on radio 5 today in moscow they had 2 fans from each club......1 sussex,1 dublin,2 maltese......at no point could i work out who supported who
-
spurs have put a bid in for the trophy

I must admit that I enjoyed our Intertoto games, I'd much rather play those types of game than a meaningless friendly. Watching football on a warm summer’s day is also better than sitting in a freezing ground in January. couldn't agree more. no need to put out a full first team. better than a friendly and some youngsters getting experience of competitive football and something to play for....for the players and fans.

too true. If we win anything I'll be taking at least the next week off graft regardless of what it is. Newcastle will literally just stop functioning as part of the economy. Would be mental. IF we win anything the airport will be shut to passenger traffic as it will be occupied flying in replacemnet livers
-
Nope, as long as you don't stop your run altogether its allowed. He did stop though... Had it gone in, it should've been ruled against with him having to take the pen again. This is Ronaldo though, so it would've probably counted anyway. with it being ronaldo i;m surprised it wasn't given as a goal even though he missed

he's a cheeky bastard that bobby charlton
