keegan didn't played all out attack.

get the right players and it's ok. ie sellars and speed were always aware enough to get into a position from which they could cover the break if beresford etc went forward. what did burriidge want ? the back 4 to form a line in front of him and stay there ?

and on the inside pages...... from todays independent. I have e-mailed to inform the "expat" that milburn's statue hasn't stood on northumberland street for quite some time and that the fairs cup was never the equivilent of the champions league, or that andy capp is a north eastern caharcter not neecastle, especially given that bill tidy was a monkey hanger i guess it's meant as a satirical piece so as a satirical right of reply maybe i could have 2 pages to defend Newcastle or perhaps do a similar piece on london. i'll even use punctuaation, a spellchecker and such. he may also care to address why his own newspaper carries the stat that kevin keegan was mnetioned 222 times in this weeks papers.....next most was kate moss on 56.........why are they obsessed with Newcastle and Newcastle united ?

Last paragraph is priceless. Doesnt every football fan in the world dream? Whether it be a Man U fan dreaming of winning the Champions League again or a Torquay fan dreaming of getting back into the 2nd Division. Isnt this what drives every fan on. What an utter cock. He must be some dullard if he doesnt have any dreams at all. I guess the emptiness of his life explains the article i've even ripped that article out and kept it somewhere safe for future reference.

I think they'll have a few more laughs before things get substantially better, they don’t bother me in the slightest, it’s just sour grapes. yes but it does annoy that instead of saying "we got it monsterously wrong" they'll then be behind us 100%. dont buy the pap buy private eye

oh right...so what do you reckon we should do. drag them from their already scripted post match thoughts on the match yet to be to northumberland street for a very slow throat slitting with a blunt fork before disembowelling and being hung over a lamp post wearing red red and white keks on their only just hanging on heads ? (please say yes) Probably. But also consider the fact that you've had an awful lot of good press that last few days. Seriously, the rest of the country is sick of hearing about KK's return. In that coverage, there will also be some negative stuff. That's just the way it works, they love extremes. Everything is f****** brilliant, or everything is f****** rubbish, nobody wants to hear about everything being 'stable'. That's why the likes of Villa, Man City, Everton and to a certain degree Newcastle were all unremarked upon by the press for years - nobody wants to know about non events. Media-wsie I think you're onto a loser here. The same press which built KK up as the returning messiah are just pissing their pants with excitement right now at all the column inches they're going to fill as the situation develop. And don't think they're all waiting for you to do well - they're not, they're waiting and hoping it goes tits up, because that fills more column inches than anything. Which is one reason why I think this is a bad appointment, but I won't go off on that tangent, I've had a bit too much to drink to be cogent. we've had good press from SSN nad setanta but i'd say apart from headlines the written press has been very guarded. literally waiting to see which way it goes. my guess is the reports were written before a ball was kicked. the unfortunate thing is we can't trust the press (not just NUFC but you aswell brummie). you've been on here long enough to know those to call a game as it was and you'll know those in your own area........do you believe them or is there ONE man in the press you trust as much ?

don't bother chasing these fools up in months time and making them ridiculous.....private eye will do it for us. did last time

right now very happy with n'zogbia centre attacking midfield Against Stoke maybe. He was dominated pretty easily today. you mean today he didn't dominate the game ? that type of thing happens with half a team out. No, he was easily dominated. They coped with him very easily today i thought. He only had any real effect when he pushed out to the left occassionally for the last 20 minutes or so. Such a massive waste if we keep him there long-term. yup he was easy dominated....why ?2 men on him and limited options perhaps ? could a decent central midfield solve this ie no bolton player marked rozenhal meaning they could double man elsewhere. Zog might turn into a quality central midfielder but right now he has too many limitations to his game. His ball retention, passing and strength are exposed in the middle. Maybe with 3 central midfielders he can get away with it but not in a 2. Stick him out wide where he gets a bit more space and he can use his attributes like his pace, his ability to run with the ball and his crossing. I like the kid but until he develops a bit, you are just exposing his weaknesses and stifling his strengths in the middle. his crossing has never been consistent and he is only just getting experience in centre mid. as for running at players most of his best stuff has been done in the middle even when played in other positions (this season at left back and as at the SOL when out wide). his best attribute is taking the ball in close and in one movement taking it away...ideal for attacking centre mid. distribution needs wot=rked on but it would to play wide anyway Have to agree, think he could be very effective in the centre. He's equally good onthe right, but ithink that his direct running will open up alot of space for the strikers when he forces defender to commit to tackles on him. Needs to work on his passing and distibution but could be effective. Hopefull this game wont be judged against him because he had absolutley no space to operate, had 2/3 people on him at all times. would be excellent onthe counter attack throught the cnetre. But that's exactly what he's going to come up against week in, week out, playing in the middle. He simply wont get the space to operate that he might out wide or in a free role. hows that ? today they didnt mark rozenhal so they could double man elsewhere (given a better player i roz's position n'zogbia may have had a clearer run aswell)

when we played the ball forward it never stuck....owen up agaainst that sort of defender you can understand but if not we nee someone who can. viduka style with mobility, then defensive midfiled and right midfield (i like milner and is nowhere near as bad as pie would have you believe but if we can improve these would be my irst positions) i think n'zog can make a a top quality centre mid

That's the way I see it. We played much better, we tried to get it down and pass it, we had a lot of posession but lacked penetration. In 3 f****** days, that's quite an improvement, tbh. AAAAAGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

we played pass and go football from keeper to forwards (how many times did given just hoof it ?). in 2 days with half a team thats amazing. we showed more footballing prowess today than the whole of the last 3 years. still looking forwrad to getting this season out the way then let us go

Precisely. I don't think i've seen us retain possession as well as we did today for a long time, and that's got nothing to do with their tactics. We've played against negative teams before and had little possession. The fact that we had 70% of the possession, or whatever, for me, is good 'defending'. They can't score if you've got the ball. yeh, we kept possession thought Roz was really good inthe centre, kept play flowing and regained posessionquite well. Was a major plus seeing us regaining possession trying to work an opening rather than hope for one froma long ball, can really see the difference inthe team, if we boxed them in like we did today with Allardyce at the helm the ball would of been punted into the box on the hope that a ball would fall loose for one of our players, we'd end up losing possession very easily with Allardyces style which meant we were constantly trying to reagain possession again putting ourselves under unessary pressure. Id like to see the ball worked from one flank to the other more often, play didnt get swtiched tht often from what i remember. re rozenhal....he played 2 fantastic attacking passes that ballack would have wanked over, done his defensve role excellently but he gave the ball away far too much...not slagging the lad off as he was out of position but putting things in perspective

how many good games did n'zogbia have last season ? MADRAS i love Duff, i think his attitude is first class and he used to be an exceptional player. I am not trying to knock the fella, simply belive he is not the player he used to be and unless something drastically happens, like him gaining a yard of pace, learning to shoot, or gaining a repertoire of tricks, i fail to see what he will bring to the team once we have a settled centre midfield, so Zog can go on the left! right now after seeing n'zogbia on the left and through the middle i believe the lad himself is right...his best position is through the middle

how many good games did n'zogbia have last season ? agree, this season hes been pick of the bunch, duff hasnt played well(except 2 games) since hes joined us though and he has no future ahead of him..n'zogbia does hes much younger with more ability plus there wont be room in the squad for duff when we sign messi, kaka, berbatov, henry, ronaldinho, c ronaldo if we sign them charles will be cleaning boots ps no thanks to ronaldinho
