Near the end of Premier passions or whatever the Netflix thing was, the woman whose regularly featured sighs "why's it never us" and you almost feel sorry for us, but she has it wrong. She should say "why's it always us"
-
Add in wages as well. On a rumoured 120kpw that's over 6mill a year.
-
How much loan fee ?
-
It'll be an interesting end to the window for us. If we go another bid fir Maddison for example it would appear that we weren't interested in Paqeta.
-
Exactly. There was an Athletic article a little while back that basically said we should stop being hung up on positions and get used to roles and went on to identify some.
-
And some Police overtime.
-
Why though ? I don't see it like that, the games more fluid than to pigeonhole someone so narrowly, especially now. He's so versatile he's ideal to have in a modern middle 3.
-
I'm not and I'm now starting to wonder why he hasn't already moved. I've watched him a fair bit since Januaryand seems ideal for what we need, so much so that my main fear was that we wouldn't be big enough at this point but it seems like those clubs I was worried about aren't interested........why ? What am I missing ?
-
It's the word "likely" that means so much (or little).
-
I had no idea we would but at the same time it hasn't come as a great surprise. More to the point, in the game, the real position would have been quite well known. Unless a CEO of a major club will believe the likes of Edwards.......... nah I don't think so either.

I hardly think paying nearly 60mill for Isak gives the impression that anyone thought we were pleading poverty. He knows very little. He may have a contact or two agent side but seemingly nothing at the club anymore.
-
Poor kids just sat at home watching A place in the sun, checking his phone every 40seconds, muttering "Oh come on... C'mon,c'mon,c'monnnnnnn"
-
Part of Isaks signing on package. 6mill as he didn't request a transfer, 1.5 bonus, club house until he gets his own, Fender doing a one on one rendition of "Howdon Aldi death queue" and a Steak bake.
-
Question for @Nobody and @AlanSkÃrare (thanks @HawK), most of the Isak stuff I've seen has been YT and it's mostly him driving forward on breaks. How do you think he'd cope against teams sitting deeper and keeping his back to goal 25yds or so out ? Has he the movement and Control ?
-
That could well be down to the games we've played (Brighton away and Man City). Bruno did get forward a lot more V Forest. Edit, I can see Shelvey basically being Bruno's back up for the most part.
-
Not really, with the right players they move cover/create space for and with each other. Bruno is a great example as he was often central, getting the ball off the defence and still being able to get forward with others covering when he git space. Paqetas last game for Lyon he nominally started right of a 3 but went all over and that 3 fed off each other.
-
His best position seems to be centre midfield. Have you seen how we play, he'd be basically centre midfield, 1 of 3 with Bruno at the centre dropping to bring play out.
-
As we play right now alongside Joe and Bruno he'd be practically Centre midfield with probably more scope for getting forward.
-
He got that header in from the corner with the defender having 2 goes at holding him back. Brushed him off with ease.
-
Nope, it's not Eddie's way. His first start will be Palace at the earliest.
-
For a little while. Never looked comfortable. I'm sure he's OK tonight.
-
And they are playing Local Hero ? FFS scouseism at its height.
-
What a horrid, snide bunch of fucks they were.
-
Oh what could have been.

1million (with 12million add on if they avoid relegation)
