  1. Shouldn't be asking for the ref to make a decision, also we know Dean isn't afraid to give away penalties. Dean shouldn't be giving penalties for non-fouls in the box. look at it in slo mo and it's iffy, in real time its a stonewaller and a stupid challenge.

, he's not an expert, they don't expect him to be, he's entertaining like the rest, they don't want correct and insightful but often dull views, they want banter and entertainment. given the format they do it well.
  4. it was, then i stopped reading. Nope, it wasn't. Watch it again, you will see their player steps on Debuchy's foot and falls over. you'll also see debuchy's foot take a swing and the ball is nowhere near it, that will always be given.
  5. Distribution was outstanding in the first-half, too, which is often my only real bugbear with him. they sat right off and made it easy for him. in the second half they pushed on our entire team shit it.
  6. He also thinks Perch's block on Weimann was violent conduct i don't think it was, but i've seen them given. it would be interesting the reaction on here had it been bennett on cabaye.
  7. Taylor was poor and I will put that down to a lack of games, the other 3 carried him and we were lucky to get away with it. thought debuchy was very poor defensivly, particular;y second half and for all it was a backs to the wall second none of the back 4 played well.

by that logic what did the reading game prove ?
  9. thats what i'm getting at. do you think pardew says "if we take the lead sit back and just hoof it as it worked loads so far ?" or are the players incapable of upping the tempo, why no matter if in the lead oir chasing, the oppo always have more legs than we have ?
  10. It happens far too often and even aginst the worst teams in the division. i agree it does. do you think pardew says to them "if we go ahead, stay still, don't move and just lump it forward?", i'm beginning to think we have players who can't adapt to a change in tempo or fight.
  11. Nearly every game we've lead in for three years? Give over man. Look at half time in the match thread. Do the same in the Reading thread. It's the most predictable thing in football, it's usurped even the back post centre half free kick. I think some people are clutching at straws. how ? obviously ther oppo regroup and go for it and we don't have the legs to stick with it. today our players had the ball and the options werent there, were they told at half time not to look for the ball ? Suggest you watch the last twenty minutes again. Over and over, we picked up the ball with a pass on and immediately looked for Shola 70 yards away. watched it and i'd have been worrried given the ball to cabaye and sissoko who looked shot after 55mins. barely looked for the ball and did little when they had it.
  12. he's a good defender but he needs cover/support for when he's pushed up. i think the couple of occasions recently of him getting caught out with the ball inside him are naivety.

  14. robsons team with dyer, bellamy etc, i'd be happy to go into the last 20 a goal down and back us to win.
  15. so you think he says, if we are defending a lead or chasing one, the best way to do it is lump it, even if you have other options ? you see, for me, the lack of movemant later on in games could be due to the aforementioned lack of fitness/stamina.

He's out of form, he's lost his confidence and everything that goes with that. But I think he was giving it everything he had - and imo he never does less than that. The manager can either sh*t on him or try and give him some confidence and help him get back to form. When does that end ?. He has played s*** in every game he's played in this season. It's ok to show faith but a line has to be drawn. If what quayside is saying was true, then today was due to be line drawing day. Aye, today was the worst i think i've ever seen him play. Funny thing is, i keep saying that after every game, but he just gets worse. Tbh it's rather heartbreaking, love him and it's not nice to see a player fade as badly as he has. No, I meant Marveaux was meant to be starting tonight. He was s***, though. Terrible. Ah right, how do we know it was Jonas who was not going to start. Bet my left goolie it was Gouffran. Because quayside said Jonas was his replacement, man. God. I don't know if what he's said is true, like. I didn't even know he was injured. Oh right. the media were quite full of "marveaux supposed to start but late injury".
  17. kate bush as hot as hell in that vid aswell.
  18. is it really a sit back menatlity or a pushed back by the oppo mentality ?
  19. We haven't came from behind since the days of Noah, we struggle to hold on to leads and rarely look the strongest team in the closing stages regardless of the result at the time, Could it be a fitness/Stamina issue more than tactical ?
  20. In front of the back four it looked. Looked more like a midfielder in a flat 4-4-2 to me. who were the front 2 ?

He was out wide first half too...when we dominated the game, took a 2 goal lead and Cisse himself was one of the scorers. Must have been watching a different game to me, mate. Did we not dominate the first half? We did. Cisse played as the central striker first half though. Aye. Went out wide when Shola came on. So he played wide for 20 minutes.....20 minutes where we had one man in their half most the time anyway. Tactical blunder to be sacked for...after a win. Right. If that was the only blunder he made it may have been forgivable. Can't disagree with either of the new 2 going off after barely being involved second half, or that the other new lad came on. So the complaints are Perch came off or Shola/Anita came on. There was no-one else on the bench I particularly fancied coming on. They were less involved due to the way he had us setup to play. Far better to change the way we were playing to allow them to get on the ball then remove them from the pitch and replace them with worse players. Why not leave Perch in midfield and take Jonas off and replace him with Obertan. You get rid of our worst player in the game (as much as I like Gutierrez he was miss controlling everything, giving away dangerous freekicks, he was a liability) and then have some pace to hit them on the break. But instead he takes off Perch for Shola and puts Cisse on the wing with Gutierrez still there f***ing everything up. What f***ing good was that? Not to mention he then brings on a central defender into defensive midfield when he's only just taken Perch out of that position, he's nuts man! i've been defending pardew against people slagging off what they see as his tactics in the second half. i can't defend him for picking or keeping jonas on though.
  22. tactics probably the same as the first but they never responded from the whistle in the second half. the players never responded to the higher pressure and tempo. Probably the same? Or looking at all of our other performances under Pardew, were they probably different? Given that we almost always concede initiative if we're winning. looking at today we didn't have the ball enough to see if we'd changed tactics. one thing for definite, cabaye and sissoko had nowhere near the movement looking for the ball and working in the second half, or was that pardews tactic, stand still 35yds out and don't even trail back ? I don't know what his exact instructions are, but we can all see the effect of them, can't we? and if the instructions were "just keep it going, more of the same" but we couldn't live with the tempo ?, we were without an effective central midfield for the last 35mins.
  23. i've a feeling they could be very complimentary. i'm moving from getting rid of tiote to trying him behind sissoko/cabaye.
