fairly sure he'd have been given a chance if he showed anything in games or training to warrant being given a chance.

'return' is a broad brush though. return to games or return to full training ?
  3. Astute observation and almost certainly linked to last week's going ons. The remaining few on here who refer to Ashley in "stupid" or "idiot" like terms are, .....well quite frankly idiots. He may be many things but an idiot he most certainly is not. i'm not so sure. those he brought in are very good investments no matter how his other business is doing with all probably having a higher value than the purchase price.

i always thought that, some did but many hated each other. a friends grandfather hated them because of something the durham miners done in the general strike.
  5. if played together if could let tiote get back to what he's good at and really let the full backs push on. have to say this signing has really got me puzzling over how to fit everyone in.

They get so worked up about it and it's something so trivial If he was a Sunderland supporter that's fine by me, however I would think he's a pretty lousy supporter if he basically lied about his allegiance the minute he got our job. Even Bruce didn't do that at their place. I can only vouch for what I know and that is that he consistently said he was a Newcastle supporter. I've never heard him say otherwise and in spite of the evidence posters on RTG talk about proving he was a red and whiter I haven't been presented with any, therefore I've got to assume he was genuine when he said he was a Newcastle supporter. from when he got our job ? he talked of being a newcastle supporter when at ipswich.

totally understandable when you think about it. what else have they to hang their hats on ? where as the whole country knows of our icons, who outside the north east has heard of raich carter and charlie hurley ?

i see the "bobby robson was a sunderland fan" myth has reared it's ugly head again. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=757736&page=4
  9. he's the ideal type to slot into most midfields. thats why many are still in shock he's here.

    Wilfried Bony

if this bid is true it certainly does seem thet we are willing to spend to get another forward like.

1 game, defeat by AZ. made little impression on me.

    Wilfried Bony

Not necessarily because Gouffran and Aubameyang started their careers as wingers and Aubameyang has played there a handful of times this season. Bony is the odd one out in this scenario it would seem, but anyway lets wait and see i hope Pards knows what he's doing. () I might be wrong but from what I've read the position where Gouffran has really broken through has been as a pure front man though? And the comments from him after he signed about forming a good partnership with Cisse seem to point towards that direction too. they don't have to play necessarily as wingers but a bit of both, having the freedom to move off the central striker into space which is normally between centre half and full back and further out wide. i see bony as being a very through the middle type striker, like cisse. the other two seem much more able to have an effect drifting wide when they get the chance.
  14. Chelsea and Southampton......not spurs ?
  15. I don't really think it's the incomprehension of another culture that some here are a bit ticked off that he'd send an open letter thanking fans of another club while not one word of explaination or thanks to those of his current club who still gave him their support. Stuff him. Let the whole charade start again in the summer but I wouldn't just let him walk away for free, we get something for him or retain his registration for his and San Lorenzos behaviour.
  16. i'd be tempted to keep his registration in the summer.

    Harry Redknapp

Yeah players should definately be allowed to go whenever they want to! Anyone benched isn't wanted or needed enough by the club, when a fair valuation is offered then they should be allowed to move on IMO. how do you decide on "needed enough" and the "fair valuation" ? if a player can just walk on a contract it should be fair enough for clubs to do the same on under performing players.

It's the main one. 7360 members opposed to 2163 on here. So N-O isn't actually the main NUFC board? Never explored past this place, tbf. it is. RTG is only an NUFC board by envy.
  19. are we still doing them ? is that the joke ?
  20. Hasn't he pretty much confirmed some of them will be thrown in? has he ? hope so. i haven't heard him say anything about them yet.
  21. i don't even think pardew will start any of this weeks signings ,too late for them to fit into his plan for this game. as in shola up front and cisse right after ba left.
  22. i nearly ruined a holiday in gran canaria when we signed ginola, ferdinand and barton by spending time going the through all the possiblities available to us then.....doing it again now.
  23. Out of contract tbf and teams did want him, he just happened to choose us Still doesn't explain how Toulouse couldn't get more money for him. He signed a pre-contract with us and they weren't prepared to have a player who is already leaving play for them and they weren't prepared to pay his wages until end of the season and get noting for him. even before the pre-contract man. jeez for someone who got a theory evaluated against a theory that was previously thought undoable on question 3 you can be surprisingly slow.
  24. Out of contract tbf and teams did want him, he just happened to choose us Still doesn't explain how Toulouse couldn't get more money for him. didn't marseilles offer them more but he wanted to come here, also if he talked to QPR i'd be very surprised if they didn't offer more in fee and wages but he wanted to come here. if i was a nuetral looking from outside i'd definitly think there was a rabbit off (with m'biwa aswell, even as far back as cabaye) but i'm not so i'm saying nowt.
