thought we dominated them in the first half and could easily have been another couple of goals up. Aye, they didn't have a sniff at our goal while we could've scored 4.

Great play by Totti that started the attack.

We were pressing them high and looked dangerous in the first half. Continued the same high pressing after the HT and were totally cruising to the win. Then they scored a soft goal due to an individual error which unsurprisingly got the crowd back in to the game and lifted their players. We still dealt with them well and Mutch was the only one creating anything for them while we could have scored couple more. It's quite usual for a promoted team to get a spark from an undeserved goal that got the crowd back in the game. I just can't see this second half as the usual Pardew effect when we are leading at HT. I want Pardew sacked but at least give the man some credit when he's done well or just stay out of this thread for a couple of days..

Was Robert-esque, absolutely loved it. Bastards only showed one replay tho.

Definitely better, but faded again. The whole midfield looked tired due to the high pressing.

Great win and a brilliant first half. Can't really blame Pardew for the second half as they created nothing before the mistake that led to the goal and we started the half alright. The goal was always going to lift the crowd and the players but we still handled them well and their only chances were from Mutch who looked good. Despite being under the pressure for the last 30 minutes we were still creating chances too which was a big positive. Cabaye had one of his best games for us and was everywhere. Remy of course was great and Tiote had his best game in ages. Jonas is always going to be a useful sub in a game like this and I was positively surprised with Pardew for the HBA sub, which was still maybe 15 minutes too late. It's nice to win.

That post was probably written before the game started.

I guess you didn't watch him that closely. He was perfect for the first 60 minutes, not a single mistake and won the ball back a lot. Kept it very simple with passes that Anita would be praised for. Lost the ball once or twice after that and misplaced couple of passes. Still one of the best for us alongside Cabaye and Remy.

No wonder as you didn't know who you bet it on.

Valencia gooool! Not a good week for Russian goalkeepers.

I love gambling but other forms take too much time and normally I can't be arsed to do any research for betting. So I rather come here and see what others have bet on and decide after that. The fact that you usually explain your bets is nice and makes it less likely that I'm just burning money on some daft bets. Also I've never heard of Kuban which sealed it.

Valencia/Standard Liege double.

What's the story on Standard Liege? Elfsborg just being awful?

I'm no wizard but I take a print screen, go to Paint to cut it and then put it on imageshack or some other similar site.

My telly is late.

His posts on the subject were a fucking tragedy, tbf.

I'm not saying it's good but the standards in the league are low.

BREAKING NEWS: N-O thinks Krul isn't good enough at hoofing. I know Krul's distribution is criticised by many here and I've defended it before. It's just as good/bad as most of the other goalie's in the league. The examples you gave (Reina, Forster, Valdes) show that it's not an area where many goalkeepers excel. Luckily for us Krul is better than most in almost every other category.
-
So Krul's distribution is the worst in the league and the two examples you give are Pepe Reina and Fraser Forster. Other was not good enough for Liverpool and got the boot and the other wasn't good enough for a team that has the worst goalkeeper in the league in distribution. I have nothing against Forster and it would be great for us if he was the backup keeper. It's just better for him and basically everyone that he isn't sitting his whole career on the bench like Harper did. It's just annoying that there's a post like yours everytime some of our former players have a decent game on the telly.

Bolded parts are in my opinion more or less horseshite. Even if Krul had a poor game at Everton, he is still one of the top goalies in the league and I honestly wouldn't swap him for anyone. He was simply amazing on 2011-2012 and his form dropped a bit last year. He was still great most of the time and made the saves, on top of his game or not. His distribution always gets criticised but he's no worse than the majority of the goalies. Who are these goalies that are superb with the ball at their feet? As for footballing ability, I don't really understand what you mean. Krul is a good footballer in my opinion, one of the best in the league at his position. Forster plays for Celtic and as long as he is there I just can't say that he's better than Krul no matter what he does. He might look good against Barca but that's not so hard. You saw him against Milan in the week 1? If Krul did that attempted save on the freekick he would get lynched here, rightly so. He might be a Geordie but that isn't enough if you don't have the talent your competition has.
