Looking at our lineup we would've probably needed at least 3 goals to have a chance on any points. So IMO it was always going to be one of those days.

you really reckon Pardew told them to get stuck in and go for it today? Well I hope he didn't. I rather take injury free 4-0 loss than a fighting 2-1 loss with couple of injuries. My point being that I can't fault Pardew for our performance today with all the injuries (yes!) and the games that are coming up.

It's not the defeat, it's the style of it and the lack of effort. If there's one game where you can expect lack of effort it was this. To be fair I can't even fault the players, getting through without injuries was the main thing.
