If this keeps up we will be facing at least 50 shots on goal tonight. -

He is saying the glass hitting him was not intentional as it slipped out of his hand. The assault for which he has been fined is the throwing of the drink over him. -

I am sure his legal team have made it quite clear to him that any more appearances in court will likely lead to a much heavier sentence. Previous offences can't be brought up when deciding on guilt, but they are looked at by the judge before deciding on sentencing. -

2-1 now, Torres.

Blackburn equalise straight away. Shocking commentary on Radio 5 where the commentator was clearly gutted about the equaliser.

Any quotes from Pearce as to why he has dropped Carroll? It's not like the U21's are blessed with much up front. -
6 points from eight games, bottom three having just lost a derby game. You dont think that will lead to the manager being under pressure? Assuming Blackpool hold out for 10 minutes of course.

Merseyside derby next up after the international break. Loser of that will be in big trouble.

Hughton has made it very hard for Capello to pick him now by dropping him. I guess he thinks the last thing Carroll needs is an ego boost and he is keeping his feet on the ground. Mind, he has to be back in for the Wigan game, and alongside another foward too, not Nolan. -

Will be interesting to see what he does with that front 6. Ameobi for Carroll is uninspiring but at least that is a straight swap for whatever reason. Most obvious line up now will be Jonas right, Ben Arfa left and Nolan up front, but I am hoping for Ben Arfa alongside Ameobi, with Jonas left, so then who plays on the right? Barton? -

Ideally we want it to be as bad as possible without being called off. An almost unplayable pitch will require more work ethic and team spirit as opposed to the individual talent which they are so obviously stronger in.
