Why? Because the Spuds will magically "click" at some point this season? They're in just as much trouble as Bolton at least, tbh. Spurs have got better players and they will go on a run and get away from the bottom. They aren't going to get relegated while Bolton quite possibly could, although today's result will give them a massive lift. I can't see Spurs going down like, nice things like that just never happen, but when you look at their remaining fixtures it makes you wonder. 3 of their next 4 are against Arsenal, Villa and Chelsea and they have a very tough run in with Man U, Everton and Liverpool in their last 5. (thats not breaking any fixture rules surely is it?)

Fingers firmly crossed. Although i believe he will go to Liverpool. I heard a stat today that Zaki hasn't scored from open play in 4 months.

i really carnt see spurs going down, id rather they just won today, pull clear now, and leave Bolton nearer to us. I'm inclined to agree. At some point in the season we have to stop enjoying watching Spurs lose, and start wanting them to beat more realistic relegation rivals.

Charles N'Zogbia joins Wigan Athletic for fee believed to be £6.5m
Belfast Boy replied to Nicky's topic in Football
I have had a look through a load of other sites, including wigan forum's, and still cant say for certain if he is in their team today. Worryingly though I have not found one wigan fan sorry to see Taylor go and as for the fee, everywhere I can find seems to have it as £4m plus Taylor, who incidently, is out of contract in the summer! -

I hope not. Turned on Talksport half way through them talking about Wigan, and I think I heard them say they wondered how he will play today with Newcastle 'sniffing around'. How many Taylors do Wigan have?, one in their squad here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7856378.stm -

Shay Given signs for Manchester City for £5.9m plus add-ons
Belfast Boy replied to a topic in Football
Well they won't. You just generally don't pay as much money for goalkeepers as you do outfield players, it's always been the case. But why? I've never got it, stopping a goal should surely be as important as scoring one, Good goalkeepers aren't in abundance. If you don't score goals, the most you can get out of a game is 1 point. And if your keeper doesn't concede, then the least you can get is 1 point. -

More likely that he won't play to avoid being cup tied. -

Kinnear sees big role for Smith in New Year
Belfast Boy replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
I like your thinking, are you basically saying he is talking the player up in the hope to sell him in January? The problem with that is, when you are Newcastle manager those quotes get thrown back in your face when said player is sold and the headlines read that you have no say in transfers. -

He's clearly been dropped to the bench last minute as he's about to fly out to Germany to replace Walcott.

I think the best punishment would be to dock them points from their next game. Make them forfeit it. Who are they playing anyway?

How would this game raise money? -
Is it true that there have been injury time goals in Arsenal's last 6 games? EDIT: Answering my own question, it is. 2-1 Man Utd (Da Silva 90+) 1-2 Stoke (Clichy 90+) 4-4 Spurs (Lennon 90+) 2-0 W Ham (Adebayor 90+) 3-1 Everton (Walcott 90+) 1-1 S'land (Fabregas 90+) Other than the 0-0 with Fenerbache it would have been 7 becasue Ramsey scored in injury time in the 5-2 CL win.
