Butt out and Jonas in are the two key factors for me. We seem to have so much pace and confidence on the ball, maybe too much confidence at times at the back. Jonas is already a legend here.

Keith Harris, of Seymour Pierce, just been on Talksport talking about football in general. Says he is good friends with Ashley and said how he had cleared the debt at Newcastle. He then went on to say "Newcastle still have debt, but now they owe it to Ashley". He went on to talk about the same situation with Abramovich at Chelsea and didn't go into details. But to me it sounded like all this talk of clearing £100m debt would appear to be nonsense as once (if?) the club is taken over he gets every penny back. The question is, does this money come out of the asking price bandied around or is he looking to make even bigger profits?

This is one of the things that counts towards the 'fair play' league place isn't it? EDIT: Who is it that scores this, and is that all they do? That's some job!

As much as I appreciate that Joe Kinnear is the only one telling us anything from the club these days, you have to wonder why Ashley would be telling him things like this. According to Keegan he very rarely spoke to Ashley, now that he is packing up and leaving, why would he suddenly be having day to day contact with the manager. Also, either Kinnear has a terrible memory for facts and figures, or he is desperate to keep himself in the news in the hope of getting another job after this, so he tells anyone who will listen what he thinks they want to hear.

To be fair, the price of land in London is going to make big difference compared to Liverpool and Newcastle.

The thing that's shocked me the most out of all this is that we have a press officer. Where has he been the last month? I wouldn't mind betting that this sort of exchange between managers and press happens a lot but most press officers keep control of it and stop it getting out. Trouble is that ours, whoever he is, just got shouted down by JFK and the press and was walked all over.

8 games would take him up to the Wigan game, Nov 15th. 12 would be up to Portsmouth Dec 13th.

Ah ok, cheers for that. It's a two game ban and he served one at the weekend because he was named as our manager on the teamsheet. Hence him mucking around in the tunnel.

I've not been on here much over the weekend, and I am surprised more hasn't been made over this touchline ban. I have heard varying reports of it being maybe only 2 games (and possibly not applicable now he is here and not at Forest) up to him being in the stands till near the end of October. Only Newcastle could appoint a short term manager who isn't allowed to manage for now!
