  1. What the fuck's that got to do with anything whatsoever? Portsmouth have conceded 3 goals in 8 games as opposed to our 12 ffs. Fucking Portsmouth.
  2. Roeder's a lame duck who should never have been appointed. He showed total incompetence in the transfer window and is now paying the price for it.
  3. I'm happy with Martins. He's the least of our worries tbh.
  4. It's taken from the lyrics to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alouette_%28song%29 Dunno who thought it up though or how long it's been going.

Was that not being directed towards the Estonians?

What a shit name. tongue.gif Nah, fair play, you made a right racket tonight. Well done to you for having such enthusiasm for that game, more than I could manage.

But you're assuming the reason we're fucked in terms of personnel is BECAUSE we signed Duff, not because our chairman is a fuckwit. It goes as much towards the manager as the chairman. Roeder chose to spend £5m that could and should have been spent on defenders and would have made the squad vastly stronger. We're already picking up injuries, and playing players that are not and will never be good enough. One more injury to a defender - likely given the number of games we'll play - and we are past even the bare bones. It's feasible we could be sifting through the Academy kids - in September or October ffs. But at least we've got even more cover on the wings. I'm so pissed off with the pair of useless twats.

We're going into Premiership game number 4 with Peter Ramage as one of our starting centre backs and God-only-knows at left back. Only 34 to go. I don't know what planet you would have to be on to think signing Duff was a good decision based on the financial situation.

did beardsley score on his home debut? serious question No, not in either spell at the club.

I was concerned from day ONE. I had heard nothing concrete about this bloke, only things I had heard weren't good, and when it was said he was quick, what i HAD heard mentioned this not at all. My source was astonished we had paid what we had for a player who never amounted to much in Italy. Roeder strikes again.... I think you need a new source. Martins has been acknowledged for years as one of the quickest, if not the quickest, players in the world.

Shocking that from .com. I worry about them, they're little more than another Oliver these days. Just had a look about what they said about Duff. "Threatened and looked a class act" - utter shit.

The problem is that most of the time when we buy an expensive foreign player, the expectation is always massive because of the situation we put ourselves in. Boumsong - brought in to replace Woodgate in a defence leaking goals for fun. Luque - who knows who he was replacing, but when we were on the slide under Souness, it felt like he was the one that might turn it round. Martins - replacing Alan Shearer, in a side with no other capable strikers. This doesn't happen at most well-run other clubs. Liverpool - if Kuyt plays badly, they'll take him out the firing line, let him settle, give him little bits and the odd start, play Crouch, Fowler, Bellamy. As someone said on Toontastic, West Ham have the perfect set-up to let Tevez settle into our game with 4 or 5 other strikers to choose from. We did this with Viana for a while, when he was having little bits sitting in for Robert, he looked a player, but when he was thrown into the deep end to do Speed's job with no real idea how because it was a totally different type of game, he looked lost. If Martins doesn't perform, for whatever reason, we are FUCKED, and that is far too much pressure for the lad to be under.
  13. Having been listening to the Legends tonight and reading various posts on here and elsewhere, there appear to already be a substantial group of people feeling a little unsure about Martins and what he can offer us. I've heard people saying he doesn't appear anywhere near as quick as reported, that he's weak, can't beat a man, can't shoot, generally has shown nothing so far etc. Roeder's even been out and given him the 'vote of confidence', a little strange to be doing it after two games imo. So is anyone genuinely starting to feel a little worried?
  14. I remember when Bernard was taking the piss with his contract, looking through dozens of news stories for the name of his agent and it wasn't reported in any. Does anyone know if Bernard is a new addition to the Mackay group or whether he was the parasite that fucked things up in the first place? As for Sibierski, it's so "Mackay", it's untrue. Something should be done about it, it's disgraceful.
  15. Shepherd and Roeder's credibility would have been much higher had they just got Bernard in. Signing Sibierski smashed any sort of credibility to pieces. It's one of the most nonsensical transfers I've ever seen.
  16. Ozzie's already posted in this thread.

  18. I'm astonished that anyone has the nerve to defend our business in this window. We are a shambles.
  19. There's another thread on Sir Bobby ffs.
  20. I'll give you a clue: He's shite. And no, he can't head a ball. Scored one headed goal that I can remember (Spectacular long range one to be fair). Also as slow as a 3 legged donkey running backwards in quicksand. Good pro to be fair, always worked hard and never complained about being played all over the place - or dropped - as he has been, completely, for every game this season. There will be much rejoicing in this part of the world if this is true. Sorry, but I burst out laughing when I read this. Me as well.
  21. I'm sorry but I'm in stitches here. Shepherd's head must roll.

£70m spent in 2 years and that's what you come up with. Jesus wept! Aye, but the money hasn't been spent wisely. We seem to get sucked into a last minute spending frenzy towards the end of every transfer window. What do we think of the purchases of Luque and Boomsong, to name just two? Shepherd is directly responsible for this shambles! In that case, blame Souness & Roeder. Shepherd can't be blamed for backing his managers. Of course he can, man. That's like saying a manager can't be blamed for buying shit players because it's the player's fault.
