Don't think Pardew had much to do with Cabaye's purchase mind, don't think he'd have gone for him in all honesty.
-
Cabaye's different class to Guthrie, and I say that as someone who has always defended Danny against some rather disgusting criticism.
-
Our players are better than 6th. How can anyone defend him after today? Jesus Christ.
-
Aye ok. It was all to do with the squad, so I'll be expecting a win better than 5-1 next week because this is a better squad.
-
Pardew didn't get us out of the Championship and wouldn't have either. His record in that division is embarrassing for someone who claims to be a top manager, probably because of his negative approach.
-
Don't see any reason why Ba and Cisse can't work together but only if we create chances. We play with a midfield designed specifically not to do that.
-
He doesn't have any idea how to play football. At no point this season have we passed the ball as well as Wolves did today, and they weren't even any good.
-
Sewelly absolutely on the nail.
-
Logic, I was agreeing with you re: the corner. Four players in the box for a corner is ridiculous, we were outnumbered more than 2 to 1.
-
Ryan Taylor took a corner at 1-0 up and we had four players in their box.
-
Hughton's team could smell blood when we took the lead and it was fucking fantastic to watch. Some of the wins at the back end of the Championship and against Villa and on Hallowe'en were champagne stuff. Today should have been 5 or 6 nil.

It's all very well pointing fingers at Simpson and Williamson but it's not their job to make sure the opposition possession is minimal. They totally outpassed and outclassed us in midfield because of our negative approach to the game, because we have two wide players whose main job is to stifle - it's fine having one in Jonas who does contribute going forward, having him in the team should free up the other side but we play another one there. It's not acceptable. Taylor at right back and someone attacking ahead of him is the obvious choice because Simpson's delivery is something I'd expect to see from a pub game.
-
Ian if we were letting them have the ball as you say then that is totally unacceptable. Did you see Spurs letting us have it last week?
-
Our performance in the first half was ok?? They must have had about 70% possession!
-
It's hardly hindsight, it was clearly a case of Ian and Jon criticizing his foresight. Embarrassing really, a point scoring attempt when it's fucking obvious, even when we win, that he's a very cowardly manager.
-
I've tried to get on board with him despite the fact that I don't like him and don't rate him but I cannot bear his unbelievably negative approach to the game any longer. He's totally spineless, no worse in that sense than Souness or Allardyce were. The players are a hundred times better than he has them playing, despite the good league position, his substitutions are laughable and he is simply unable to set the team up to create chances. The worst thing that can happen to us next week is an early goal for either side. Them and we won't open them up, us and he'll tell the players to defend on the six yard line and hoof it clear at every opportunity.
-
Imagine qualifying for the Champions League and having Ryan Taylor in midfield.
-
Really?? Didn't think they'd be having him back after the "rape" incident.
-
Apart for the reason he's been largely gash and totally lazy/disinterested. Dear God.
-
Impact sub. He's a fucking astonishing footballer. BTW I must be a Demba Ba fan rather than a Newcastle fan because I want him to play ahead of Shola.
-
We should be aiming to take this lot to the cleaners.

Saw Santon and Abeid at the Centre for Sport on Westgate Road on Wednesday evening, looked like they were on their way out for a game. They were with quite a few other lads who looked as though they might have been ours too, NUFC tracksuits etc, but didn't get a good look at/recognise anyone else.
-
What the fuck was the commentator on about: "he's written himself into Ajax legend there" when they went 2-1. Aye those four European Cups pale into insignificance compared to a goal in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup.
-
Have I missed something? Why would Cisse not be fit?
