a continental manager would play Cacapa and Colocinni together in an instant tbh Bassong and Colo is our best bet at the minute imo (when Jose's back). Cacapa played well today like.
-
Martins too don't forget. The squad's weak as piss but even so seven first teamers out is ridiculous. Not even "maybe" players, they all walk into the team.
-
He must have been lacking in confidence for about four years by that logic. I don't have a problem with him playing while there's no-one else but he's still crap.
-
The subs today were so NUFC. Shola and Edgar - we are always so stuck in our fucking ways. It's not just Arsenal who put 16-17 year olds on, Everton are always putting them on, Boro too, probably plenty other clubs as well. With us they have to be at least 19 before they get a look in, so we'll just hoy a centre half on when chasing the game instead.

Definitely needs to be benched upon the return of Habib and Jose.
-
This lot will make a massive difference, roll on Joey Barton's return as well.
-
I'm pleased with them but Ashley has been mugged by his lackeys into thinking that good players will always play well no matter who is in charge of them which has left us in this position.
-
Let's not get carried away. I'm not. I know his name's not foreign enough but I bet he's involved in about 75% of Villa's goals. Wonderful player, totally consistent with an attitude to match.
-
I would have Ashley Young ahead of any other player in the league. Every week I can't believe how good he is and the next week he does something even better.
-
That's because he's built a squad, like Dennis Wise was apparently employed to do. No I won't bother if that's ok with you.

I find it funny you moaning about Keegan not getting what he wanted yet you were crying like a girl when we put a bid in for Warnock. Aston Villa fans weren't too keen on buying Knight and Harewood but that's why Martin O'Neill is their manager, why brummie is not and why they're winning every week. A comment like that just shows how little you understand about football. A manager is always the most important person at the club and your remarks about "I'm glad Keegan's gone because he wanted to keep Milner" just prove your total ignorance of how football works. How little I understand about football? Jesus wept, it was a tongue in cheek comment ffs, similar to when I said he should be sacked for stupidity for wanting to keep Smith. I thought Keegan said it was his decision to sell Milner though? And you were laughing at how much Villa paid at the time. I was delighted to get £12m for Milner but I'd rather have him on the pitch than any of our midfielders today. I'd rather have Milner than Championship football. You were happy with KK going because of the job Wise had done. I wonder then why they've lost four straight games, including three at home, against poor sides. I wasn't worried about Keegan going because I was confident that the club could get someone in of at least equal ability, possibly better. The problem has come about because the fans protested at Ashley to sell, he's agreed to so we're left in a state of limbo, that's nothing to do with the ability of the players that have come in or that of the players that have been here before this Summer. Better than Keegan who was happy to have Dennis Wise (who doesn't see games or training) improve the squad for him? Nothing to do with the ability of Taylor, Geremi, Butt, Cacapa, Duff? mackems.gif

Ahh right £12m for Milner daft. What if that money had been re invested in January in a player with twice the lads ability? You could get a lot more player for £12M than James Milner. "£12m for Milner daft" Feel free to point out where I said that. I didn't say you did, Im saying it 12m for Milner is daft fee for an average player. Keegan seems quite childish. Average yet still better than most of our other "midfielders". I see Aston Villa are flying high, not sure how with a fuckwit like O'Neill at the helm.

I've been a critic but he's been fantastic for months and at the moment is one of very few playing like he gives a toss.
-
So martins turned up the monday after the spurs game claiming injury? Spot the deliberate mistake.
-
Baggio assures me this squad is top 10 material so don't worry njs. Wise has improved the squad, no doubt.
-
I'd hoy ranger in and go 4-3-3. Given, edgar, taylor, colo, bassong, geremi, butt, charlie, owen, xisco, ranger. That way we get some real quality dropping into midfield in the form of owen and means we don't have to suffer duff breaking every attack down with his own brand of ineptitude. Hope the rumour that he's injured is some good news at last.
-
You for a start Baggio.
-
The players are losing games because they're completely demoralised and many of them are total shite. That's got jack shit to do with the fans. Some people now blaming the fans were adamant that Keegan's departure wouldn't affect us because the players were so good.
-
Bassong wasn't just our best but the best on the pitch. And i can't believe the suggestion that it was anything to do with coloccini. The pass was direct to his feet ffs and he had loads of time to play it back to shay, back to colo or just collect it himself and step away from o'hara. Nah, better to try a dummy on the edge of his own area. Dick.

There's a very fine line between success and failure in international tournaments. If nadal's or mcallister's penalty goes in, things are very different. Same can therefore be said of phil neville's stupid last minute tackle under kk. Wouldn't slag off his euro 96 record but nor would i claim that it says anything about his managerial ability.
-
Exactly.
