Jenas. Scary the amount of managers, at club level and for England, who are picking that total and utter waste of a shirt.
-
I'd given up the goal as the ball came over (lovely ball from SWP mind) but in the split second it became clear that Beye was going to put a tackle in, I never doubted that he'd get the ball, I had total confidence in him in that moment. What a waste of a fantastic tackle.

Don't think this has been posted yet. I've suddenly softened ever so slightly on the fat, orange, shit-scared-of-a-bit-of-snow, Smoggie media whore: EDIT: bollocks.

I could barely speak at one point. That encroachment had me raging like. Geremi's asking him to take the wall back and he just stands there and flat out refuses. How is this man allowed to referee a game of this magnitude?
-
Ireland bossed their whole game, terrific performance from him. Nice through ball for Ireland but other than that, I hope Robinho is red faced at having to climb out of Geremi's fucking pocket.
-
There is no justification for bringing him on. He's had a freak injury (never explained, funny that, wonder if it happened after ten pints of lager?) and hasn't even played reserve football - this is all apart from the fact that he's a very poor player. I appreciate Shola was fucked but if Carroll's a better bet than Xisco then we are in bother.

They can't not rescind it. They just can't.

The highlights on Inside Sport were hilarious. Not even a replay of the penalty, another one under the carpet unlike Styles' decision to give Malouda a penalty against Liverpool last season which was raised in the House of Commons. Fantastic performance from the lads, we fully deserved to win the game and would have if Styles didn't have Arab cash in his pocket. A disgusting decision to match up with his one at Old Trafford a few weeks ago. He gets his name in the paper and that's all that matters to him. If Shola and Martins had stayed on, we'd have held out but them going off invited pressure - Shola might be shite but when you put him up against Carroll, he looks like Shearer reincarnate. A horrible irony in Keegan possibly walking over Xisco who's now behind the woeful Carroll in the pecking order. Coloccini finally showed what he can do though - absolutely outstanding.

How can their midfield be good when it contains Jermaine Jenas as the first name on the teamsheet? If they go down, he'll find his level, Championship player at best.
-
Some yid on 606 just said "Modric, I play amateur football and I could do a better job than him, I mean facking heww!"
-
Surprised to see them where they are but not surprised that Ramos is having a mare. The cup win papered over the very average job he did last season.
-
Sick of them already. They won't go down this season but hopefully next they'll sink like a stone.
-
Good mackems goal ruled out.

Born Gateshead, live Newcastle.

Jackson (Exeter), Elton (Watford) and Shepherd (name escapes me) have all been directors of football clubs. I don't believe Diana Ross has, she takes a better penalty than any of the others though.
-
It amazes me how many people don't realise how good he is. Yes he is a fat, lazy bastard but he's a bloody good player as well. Total class act, shame about the injuries. Rather have him for one game than certain others for thirty eight.

Bridge isn't good enough to lace cole's boots though.
-
Rio was at fault as much as cole btw for pointing into the space then remaining static. Cole had no reason to think he meant the goalkeeper.
-
Not sure there's anyone who really boils my piss at the moment - Jenas doesn't play for us anymore so his brand of being a bottling, talentless, effortless little shitbag makes me pleased these days and there's that many cheats, divers and general cunts that it's difficult to pick one over the rest. Solskjaer was definitely my past most hated, shortly behind Poyet. I'd have given anything for Rob Lee or Aaron Hughes to end Solskjaer's career with a vicious two footed challenge, preferably when the little wanker was clean through on goal.

I thought the Cole booing was shocking. I'm not one of these who thinks giving stick to your own players is always a hanging offence (I could hardly think that when I give that prick Duff the dog's abuse) but how often does Ashley Cole (who is a cheating twat btw) have a bad game for England? If you boo a player for one mistake, you'd have to be booing permanently. That, and the cheering of Beckham every time he got the ball made it obvious to me that the crowd was made up of people who don't typically attend football matches. A shame for the England team iyam, football has become so overpriced that the man on the street can just about to go to his club's games but there's no way he can afford to stretch that to games at Wembley on top. It was like a fucking pantomime crowd.

I find the "at international level" argument absolutely ridiculous. Lampard is good enough to score 25 goals a season against the elite of the Premiership and Europe but not good enough against Kazakhstan because they are "internationals"? Lampard and Gerrard together don't work, we know that, but to say Lampard (or anyone) is not good enough "at international level" is just totally devoid of logic for me. Putting a national team's shirt on doesn't somehow make a player better.

Ashley Young now, formerly Henry.
-
How was Terry's a similar offence? I didn't think Cahill's quite warranted a red but nor did I think it deserved overturning the decision. It was a quite dangerous tackle and players know that if they go in with two feet, they're risking a red regardless of contact.
-
Never mind the first half, I've been to every home game in the time he's been here and Saturday was the second cross I've seen him put in. Laughed out loud when he was "man of the match" - Michael Owen should make a police complaint for theft over that one.
-
How can anyone involved in football think that someone who doesn't see training and often doesn't even see games can be in a position to know what changes should be made to the squad?
