  1. A balance sheet supporter are those who believe the club line, that the club is on it's arse, but is living within it's means, because it's terrified of doing a 'Leeds or Portsmouth'. These are the same fans that will get a hard on when the club accounts are released in March, because it's back in profit - barely, after Ashley has taken his cut. Expectations have been so hammered down over the last 5 years, that it's untrue to the point that even to 'dream of better' is to be called a mentalist, because we are little old Newcastle and can't compete with the likes of Hull, Everton, Southampton and Swansea. We are a Premier League club ran with a League Two mentality.
  2. We've been been here before - some of us older supporters (such as me, Merlin and Wally McFool, etc) Better players have been sold off - all because it was good business and the club lacked ambition. Supermac, Waddle, Beardsley, Gascoigne, Ferdinand, Given and now Cabaye have all been peddled, whilst the club keeps on going nowhere as is as far from realizing it's undoubted potential as ever. Ashley will be loving it - Cayabe goes, de Jong comes in (on loan) and for some, all is now well with the world! Is this what many new fans are about - all balance sheet supporters? Makes me sick. Aye, I might be long in the tooth and some will call me for banging on the same drum all the time. I'd rather that than be a soppy set of cunts though.
  3. No excuses now to not fetch in a replacement. Sad to see him go, but why should he stay when the club has no ambition? Ashley wins again - more profit and the club safe from relegation.
  4. I know its shit to see Cabaye go and Ashley's a cunt but ffs stop this trousering bollocks. Do you genuinely believe that the transfer fee will be reinvested in the club - the same way as the Carroll cash was?
  5. Selling your best player before the derby - huge levels of /o\ Ashley must be getting a major hard-on as we speak, with all of that money coming that he will no doubt end up trousering. Will be amazed if a replacement is sourced and if it's like for like.
  6. As I said in the other thread, if we are in for him it would suggest Cabaye is on his way. He fits the bill of an Ashley signing - young, with more potential.
  7. Terrific take We'll see over the next few days if our interest is genuine. Would suggest that if we are in for him, then Cabaye is off and soon.
  8. It'll go right to the wire, and it will be the team that suffer ultimately.
  9. Those who are calling Cabaye shite are off their nut. I concur that this is the man the team should be built around for the next 3-4 years, but it ain't gonna happen. Ashley will seek to cash in sooner, rather than later. He has had some poor spells, but on the whole - he is quality player. That will be borne out in the rest of the season and the World Cup.
  10. Kinnear's role is for misinformation and to take some of the flak for Ashley. Those with season tickets need to be asking what they are getting out if it, when renewal time is due. Ashley wants the tv money, with minimal investment.
  11. There will be no-one signed, but maybe's no-one sold unless PSG make a daft offer for Cabaye (and he decides to go) Then on Feb 1st, we'll get Pardew saying that it's been a good window because 'we've kept our better players'. Then when the club accounts are due, it will be dressed up by the club akin to a cup win (assuming we are in profit again) Two transfer windows gone and no permanent signings. Just where is all of the money going?
  12. Here's Collymore's tweets from last night, before he pulled his account; http://m.thedrum.com/news/2014/01/23/stan-collymore-tweets-accused-ulrika-lying-and-stitch-he-pulled-twitter-account I used to like Ulrika (mainly down to Shooting Stars) but this just seems like a cash-in on her part. Poor show.

True Geordie going off on one, on FB tonight. Can understand his rant, but it just across as bitter as fuck - meat and drink for the mackems.

Our managers not going to be up for it which will show during the game like it has during every derby in his tenure here. 1 fucking win against them since he took charge. Yup - comes over a bit like Gullit when it comes to them down the road, despite the guff.
  16. The Sun out-does itself again; Fucking awful paper.

Derby is gonna be a tough day - they've had a massive confidence boost tonight, but perhaps there league form might suffer (as it did with Wigan) Our lot better be up for it - another defeat wont wash.
  18. I think the fans and the media will force him out - a clamour for Ferguson to return and save the day. Just watch.
  19. Worst Man United team I've seen in a generation. Moyes in real trouble.

Fully deserved tonight - has to be said. Worst Man United team I've seen in a generation - Moyes is in real trouble. Course we are gonna see a huge stampede from Mackemland for tickets for the final. I hope the 25000 that were there for the semi get theirs because everyone and their dog who is red and white is gonna want one!

A few mackems calls on Radio Newcastle tonight, wanting us Mags to back them against the Mancs. I'm not sure they would be doing the same thing if it were us in their place!

Nope. Gotta win the Cup to get into the Europa League.

I've seen 9000 mentioned. If true, that's canny for a mid-week away game. Pity it's only a 3rd of what was there for the home leg! As I said that, imagine the stampede for tickets if they do make the final. There will be hell on, and lots of mackems complaining when they don't get one!

How many are they supposed to be taking tomorrow?
