Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 1/1/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)
Big Geordie replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Can't see anything else other than a 2 or 3-0 win for the scousers. If Wilson has buggered off for a 'break' - that's not good at all. -
I think Hugo was considered the better prospect.
-
Hugo Viana Absolutely destroyed England in the U21 championships, which persuaded us to sign him. Brilliant left foot, but lacked pace and SBR seemed intent on making in Gary Speed's heir, which was never gonna work.

I can only hope that the new board has got rid of the previous shite, along with the ex mackem chairman. I think a lot of folk will be waiting to see. I remain unconvinced.....

Shite state of affairs for the top NE non-league clubs. All related to money issues?
-

Garnacho looks like he’s been on meth.

Makes you wonder what budget they have now - northern alliance level?
-
Excellent win for Blyth today - 2-1 at home to South Shields. A great Xmas double - JJ Hooper with a last minute winner. ?
-
so that cash raised has disappeared? No wonder the old chairman buggered off!
-
@Stifler - did you get to talk in at Shields last night?
-
Jon Shaw gets the Blyth job - he was Fenton's assistant;
-
Been put on gardening leave by Blyth, apparently. My first thought was Darlington? Interestingly - Spartans are at home to South Shields, tomorrow.
-
Darlington sack their manager too.
-
Was just coming in to post that. The battering off Blyth yesterday, must have been final straw.

It's worth noting that the usual media haters will be loving this, because it gives them another excuse to 'stick it to the Saudis and PIF'. These cunts love stoking division and are aided by the small but very vocal malcontents among our support, as well as from other clubs. Now is not the time to panic - let Eddie regroup the players - hopefully get some loan signings in sharpish, in Jan (Tonali can be replaced in squad, etc) The reduction of the amount of games we are on will also help massively. We will be OK. Good run at the FA Cup and a top 10 finish would be OK by me, all things considered.

There it is 3-2 Man United Hojland
-
2-2 Garnacho

Ruled out Offside

Garnacho pulls one back VAR check though

Our lass due back from Norway and then have got a sleepover shift the day after. Otherwise - would have been interesting.
-
Darlington looking doomed as well.
-
As said before, he was brought in to do a particular job, which he did (help keep us up) He then moved on - with no ill will from most decent Mags. He's not as bad a player as some make out.
