  1. Do you honestly think the management structure has changed and is any different for Kinnear than it was for Keegan? We're still operating under the DoF structure you champion, the fact that Kinnear knows just as little as Keegan did about what's going on with transfers is evidence enough of that.
  2. Don't have a problem with this considering the circumstances (being stuck with an owner who wont spend). Has it not sunk in with people yet that we need a squad not just a first team. Owen and Viduka will be off in the Summer, and I seriously doubt we're going to be buying 3 strikers (1 first choice and 2 backup) who are all better than Shola anytime soon. Even if super Mike does get his cheque book out, if nothing else it means we'll get a transfer fee for him. He's happy not to be an automatic starter, is settled in the region and the club, is no bother off the pitch, and he's a perfectly adequate backup.
  3. How much was he trying to sell the club for? If he wanted to sell before the protests, why did he not sell to the people who bought Man City after Ashley said the club wasn't for sale? You've mentioned this before, but I must have missed it at the time. Where was this reported and how much were they offering him?
  4. Some people are making out that the banner and a bit of protesting caused Ashley to put the club on the market and are implying they are to blame for the current state of the club. No offence to Keith or any of the protesters, but it's not that easy (and I'm sure they are aware of that). It's like when you want to split up with a lass, so to make it easy you blow the next argument you have up out of all proportion and make it seem like it's her who split up with you.
  5. It's as relevant as Ashley's from Buckinghamshire he's not a Cockney, oh no we all look like fools. I think you're falling for more of Ashley's guff if you think a few protests and a banner forced him to try and sell up for a profit when he found keeping the club mid table in the Premiership would be tougher than he thought it would be.
  6. Liverpool fans making all Liverpool supporters look like ignorant, small-minded bell-ends, etc (Hicks is from Texas and so not a "Yank", the fools), forcing Gillett & Hicks to put the club up for sale whilst ironically making sure no one will ever want to buy the club: http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/9578/thanksbutnoyanksxo9.jpg http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/2314/dubaisosyanksoutsaverafur1.jpg Man U fans firstly making sure Glazer doesn't buy the club: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7579/41139301glazerpa203jk5.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/9700/shareholdersunited2ux0.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/5336/2005glazerprotest190x15ff7.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/5415/manunot4salevj1.jpg http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/7159/sp4wk7.jpg and then forcing Glazer to put the club up for sale whilst ironically making sure no one will ever want to buy the club: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/6091/41170857cup2hm3.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/4623/lpe80205151425widecul8.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/2802/terryhallsmalltt1.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/1741/glazerbadgerx1.jpg The image of both sets of fans forever tarnished. Their international image in ruins. How will they ever live with the shame, and how long will it take their clubs to recover from the devastation caused.
  7. not particularly. These things are caused by people who can't bring themselves to admit the truth. very true. the truth being we had dropped from top 4 to lower mid table and going backwards. 14th to 7th is backwards?
  8. So you'd say it was a bad idea to spend the majority of your budget on a star player in a depleted defence behind a weak midfield?
  9. You forgot been at 3 times as many clubs. I like how Owen gets constant stick over his apparent lack of loyalty, yet we should have bought an (unavailable at the time) player who's been at 9 clubs in 14 years. What are the odds he'd be still here scoring the goals to get us a brilliant 1 point above the relegation zone if we had somehow managed to get Fenerbahce to sell him after 6 months.
  10. More proof of the anti-Man U conspiracy and inherent racism within football
  11. So that's obviously why Keegan by the end couldn't stand his guts? So? Just because Keegan doesn't like him equates to what? He was ruining the club, the fact the fella walked out showed we are not first in his mind. I fail to see what Wise has done bar stop us getting over-rated trophy signings and securing some good young talent. Not someone else who believed Keegan was really chasing Frank Lampard et al Ok then explain something to me. How can a man who openly admitted not following Football or "Seeing a game of football" in over 3 years was supposed to know of any of the worlds young talent outside of the players at the top of the game. Its literally impossible, if you stopped following Football 3 years ago or even now you could tell me that when you returned you could draw up a list of 10 players under 26 that would improve our side and were not already a big club. To assume that Keegan had planned anything outside of major signings along the scale of Lampard (Not Lampard himself) would be crazy. A top guy, a great help to establishing the club, but in this instance just out of his depth and unwilling to admit it. If Keegan not watching a live game for 3 years makes him out of touch, what makes Wise who has been involved in lower league football for just as long such an expert on worlds young talent? Was he out personally scouting them for Leeds?
  12. Well yes...that's the point, it's quite good that he's done those things How does Coloccini not qualify as a "trophy signing" btw? He cost more than others who have this label. He'll be on a very decent wage. He came from a decent club in a major league. He's an Argentinian international. He's probably currently in his prime years. I really can't seem to pin down this definition.
  13. That's not a fact at all. IMO he's been looking to sell since January.
  14. Yes they are. Fredbob is just one example of the people who blame the protesters and NUSC for Ashley deciding to sell and the club's current situation. NUSC have tried multiple times to open a dialogue, and have just been completely ignored. Maybe they should have used the money raised to fly to Barbados and discuss it over drinks, but it seems Ashley prefers to do his talking via the NOTW.
  15. Yeah, I have. If you think Ashley has been so negatively influenced by a week of supporter protesting and criticism from NUSC, why don't you organise an Ashley supporter rally and start up a counter organisation, NUSWTMAIG, and try and persuade him to invest some of the money the club generates back into the squad? I'm not really sure why you didn't start it up ages ago to try and persuade him to stay on as owner and get a decent manager in, but never mind, it's still not too late...
  16. Call me a dreamer then, but I personally I think he'll go to whoever he thinks will give him the best chance of winning something, and the money will be secondary. That won't be us.
  17. Well duh, no I don't. You make it sound like 2 lover's who've had a tiff. I suppose you believe that the banks which have folded due to poor management whose customer's got a bit upset with them for losing their savings owe no one any apologies or explanation? They're entitled to stay silent and do nothing because they've been upset by their nasty customer's mean reactions. It's not their fault people with really bad credit ratings defaulted on their loans after all.
  18. If we go down, ill blame a third on it on Ashley, a third on it on Keegan and a third of it on these jokers. Infuiriating how good they could of had it and how badly they;ve fucked it up, that goes for all three. This is fun. I'm going to blame it one third on Ashley, one third on the people who hounded the Halls and Shepherd out of the club, and one third on the people who believe Ashley is motivated in his actions by supporter opinion yet did nothing to change his mind. It's nice that everyone's so concerned about £10 from a thousand or so supporters. Personally I'm a bit more concerned about what's happened to the thousands of pounds from the tens of thousands of supporters that's lining Ashley's pockets.
  19. I assume you took off the £10m we got from team England for breaking him for a year. I'm not at all convinced he's on £100k+ before bonuses either.
  20. Everyone should sing "Mido, he has a ball you know"

    Kinnear Out

WSC article on Kinnear's last job at Forest: http://www.wsc.co.uk/content/view/1714/29/ A taste of what's in store for January? Can see why Ashley thought of him in the first place like:
