Problem is he wont IMO attract any premiership clubs, so were never gonna get much for him, Signing him up for another year is a waste of 1m-2m(?) in wages that we will never recoupe in a transfer for him. Probably. Best thing is to get a high % of next sale in there. So if he does come good we get some back. £4m back for Boumsong & Bramble when we paid £13.5m is unreal.

I think Lee, Clark, Speed & maybe Barton (i here he's done or doing his badges) would be good additions to the coaching staff, but i'd like proven coaches above them to teach them the ropes. Would be amazing to have them personalities in the acadamy with GR over-seeing things at that level.

Am really not happy with the loss on this guy. £500k? What a bunch of muppets we are. I know i'll get wrong for saying it, but should we not at least resign his deal for another season, boost the price of those wanting?

I spend less than £100, has to be said. Any match i go to these days is usually for free. I've never had a ST, but when i was younger more often than not i was there, fully kitted out, spending willy nilly on any old crap. The Toongate crap stopped my buying shirts, i've never bought one since, but i've had every top though since, only other people have bought it for me. I did buy stuff for the bairn, as i had to, but beyond that i try to spend as little money on the club as possible, i've got so many other causes to put my coin towards, and would rather spend what little money i have in the pub with all my friends knowing FS is seeing as little as possible from me. However, i've made a promise to myself that i will become a ST holder once the little man is old enough to go along, i just hope im funding someone else by then.

Aye but i wanted without transport etc, just what the club would get. well i would say just over £1000 ok ta, will remember on the tally up.

They'll give it a good go, but he's mentally too strong to crumble like Gazza. Poor Gazza was a mess, and is only sorting himself out now. Rooney at 21, is more mature than Gazza at 35. Also he's protected well by club, advisors and most importantly, family. Gazza had none of that.

Aye, can't use any his 6 convertibles.

His wages with Real are reputedly £150k pw and a Spurs director told me there was no way Spurs could even think about being able to afford him. If he does leave Real Beckham will go to USA, the MLS Commissioner has already said that they would waive the salary cap for a player like Beckham to join the MLS. Beckham is only on £70kpw, the rest is made up in media rights. OK, cheers for that. Do you think FFS would be happy to give up any media rights income to Beckham? This talk may be good for the papers at the present time ut I don't believe for a moment that Beckham would move to Newcastle (or move back to the Premiershp for that matter). Beckham needs a move back to the EPL more than we need Beckham as a player. That's if he's bothered about getting back into the England team. His image rights are no concern to me, there not worth half of what they were, and we don't need them. Him signing alone would be enough to fund his move, and payment for his 1st years wages, generating extra interest abroad (mainly Asia) meaning more eyes are watching the club. If you lot didn't have enough RW's i'd expect Beckham to move to Spurs, a capital move could still be on for him, depends what happens at West Ham. (there own takeover)

44mins on a plane to London, less to Beckingham Palace. Al least she'd be back in England where she can get back in the papers.

Where would Newcastle be today if that 'fuking idiot' hadn't taken over? Not in the premiership, that's for certain. Did i say he was an idiot for taking over the club? No. I said he was an idiot for trying to silence the fans. What it has to do with you is beyond me

Isn't his contract running out? If so we should be able to get him on the cheap - not that I'm advocating that mind. Forgot about that, you'd see him move in Jan for £2m or less then. For £2m and if he's willing to take less than £50k, i'd have him for the next 2 seasons, it would raise our profile in Asia, hopefully making money along the way.
-
Real would sell Becks for £5m in Jan, especially if he's unhappy, and the manager is benching him. Beckham himself has limited options, GR has vastly over estimated Beck's own position in the Country. None of the top four would want him, and that leaves only us, Spurs, and maybe Villa ready to make the move, and being able to afford it. His wages though i think would be less than Dyers, 32 next B-day? He'd accept £50kpw, as he'd be moving for the football, and not the money. If Becks ever wants to play for England again, he needs to get in the squad before next summer, to do that he needs to return to England where the media, England and the fans can see him on a weekly basis

Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't? Even though i hardly know anything about them, i know too much about Shepherd and i know he is no good for this football club. We need someone to asset strip, make us financially viable and build a solid business foundation, coz if we don't were going to keep sinking. Do you think Belgravia will allow Mr Dyer to sit around, playing one game in a blue moon for £65,000 per week?
-
I'm pretty sure that that would be negotiated down as part of the takeover bid. I don't think they would get this on top of the buyout of their shares. Tbh, they can have it, if that would smooth over the deal, or got them out a month earlier then so be it.

At least Dick Turpin wore a fuking mask.

6. Freddy Shepherd and Douglas Hall are on two years notice. So if NUFC wished to sack them they would have to pay two years salary to them. Freddy Shepherd was paid £500,000 in 2004, Douglas Hall £450,000 per year, so it would cost £1m and £900,000 respectively to sack each of them. The standard is for directors to have contracts of no more than 12 months. A small price to pay considering the £3m it cost to get rid of Souness.

If the forum has a problem with my comments i will delete or modify, but i personally stand by them. He's one of the highest paid executives in the Country, gets more money for his role than the guy who runs BT. His salary to turnover requires this club to bring in £2bn a year. Daylight robbery. Oh and shareholders payouts even when the club is making a loss, nice touch.
-
where the fuck do you think he got the money to buy his shares in the first place? By :wullie: it off the club. There's no other word for it.
-
They've got experience in running a successful business, which is more than Freddy Shepherd has.
-
SJH is a fuking idiot trying to silence the fans. We are not happy, get it through your thick fuking skull, we hate Shepherd with a passion, and it will only get worse.
-
How much do you spend on Newcastle products (merchandise, strips, programmes), games (tickets), etc every season? Please include money that will go direct to NUFC only. So Rail/flight tickets or accommodation are out. (am doing this out of sheer interest, but also for a college project for someone) Thanks.

So many people agree. I think Mr Winter has just made some very good friends in the North.
