  1. You set the bar high and the expectations are to continously meet then. If he didn't, he'd be gone. No point the club mouthing off saying it wants to be the best and also accept continued performances like yesterday with a squad which cost a fortune.
  2. Funny how everyone is now saying this like it's a matter of fact. I still remember the hiding I got in here (twice) for suggesting it would be an issue, and then pointing out it was an issue when it happened.
  3. I agree with everything you said, just clarifying the credit thing is down to whether he stays, not how he's remembered. He will leave a legend regardless what happens next, but right now, it's game to game on whether he's the man that takes us forward. For me anyway.
  4. Credit in the bank applies to him staying though, not his legacy.
  5. As if we'll be motivated. We'll be shit scared.
  6. Wonder how he's feeling today. Hopefully broken. I want this to be a scar he carries for the rest of his time here, so it never happens again. I surprisingly voted no to sacking him, but he has no credit left in the bank. He'll be judged game on game. It's in his hands now, let's see what he's made of. No excuses.
  7. I'm not sure we can change it. Howe has been given the keys to the castle and made it his home. The change would be monumental, and for it to be a success would require a lot of luck as well as planning. I'm not sure we have either of that at the club atm. The biggest issue for me is the last window has set us back years, and that is down to the manager. They are 100% his signings, and he can't do anything with them. Willock's replacement is Willock. Sums up the waste of money and hole we're in. HE needs to get something out of them, and quick. But he's shown nothing to suggest he's capable of it, if anything, they get worse. We will lose Tonali & Tino in the summer regardless. Club won't allow another Isak situation and will move them on quickly when they make it known they want to leave. But we're stuck with the over paid for dross which is now stinking up the squad. Years ago it was cheap shite on high wages. Now our mistakes just look to be more expensive, in a time where the PL & clubs have joined forcers to make sure we're not allowed any mis steps.
  8. If we're pinning out hopes on one player making that much of a difference, then there is no point in giving him more time. It needs to be something else, something a lot more than that which changes.
  9. I don't think the club pulls the plug, as they've no clue who would be next. They'd need a good 3 seasons to react to needing a new manager.
  10. You got the result you deserved today. Enjoy it.
  11. I knew it was coming. They are shite but it's life and death to them, and we're banging on like its the 3rd most important game of the week, and that translated onto the pitch. I said it before we even entered the CL, that he had no experience of managing a european campaign, and he'd struggle. And he did. No Europe and we're ok, back to Europe and he can't manage the season properly. His signings are poor, and have probably hamstrung us for several years (unless Saudi bail us out and give us our money back) he lacks a backup plan, can't manage a game properly (subs & ET) and lacks any challange from within his backroom staff, the board and the majority of the fans (and players) There's nothing pushing him but himself, and that's just not working right now. Do I want him sacked? Not sure. Feel absolutely nothing, just inevitability of the situation & result. But he no longer has any credit in the bank from me, and if he was sacked tomorrow, i'd actually be excited about getting someone else in. I'm far from exited thinking about the rest of the season under him.
  12. Saying nowt. Don't need to. Seems people are waking up and cutting through the toxic positivity. 👍
  13. It's what I would have went with. So can't grumble if it doesn't work.
  14. If elanga starts in guessing we're setting up to counter attack, so we're expecting a lot of early pressure from them. Seems a reasonable assumption. Then maybe Barnes later when we have more control. 2-2. Worried about whichever keeper we field. Think a late equaliser is on the cards as well, but would take that.
  15. 100%. Its unforgiveable. Bit like a lass cheating on you. We're done. Tbh, I'm so close to being done with football anyway, it might be the thing that tips the scales. I hate what it's become.
  16. I'm praying with every ounce of my being we don't get beat. As a curse, I'm probably not even watching. I'll do anything I can to assist. Like I said, he has many weaknesses in his management (which manager doesn't?) all of which are allowed, but a loss to these would make it unforgiveable for me, and everything will be questioned. Call it short sighted. Cant help how I feel, if I could, I wouldn't even be bothered.
  17. All I'm asking for is a draw. From someone who people are saying is the best manager we've had int heir lifetime, it's not much to ask for. I'm not even arsed if we finish out of Europe. Least we'll have a good league campaign next year.
  18. They underestimated them. It's unacceptable we do the same. This game should mean the world. Clear to see from fans on here it's not even the most important game of the month. Crackers. Must not have to put up with them day in day out, giving it big licks, full of themselves.
  19. Agreed. I get we have to transition into something else as we have more games and teams play differently agaisnt us now, but had hoped it would be something better.
  20. He's the best we've had in ages, but has hit a ceiling and we'll bob along with him, have our moments. I'm happy with that, but losing to the mackems with this squad is unacceptable.
  21. Years & kneejerk. But of an issue with that sentence, I'll let you figure it out.
  22. Loads of glaring weaknesses from Howe, but all are over looked for me due to the good he's done. This is unforgiveable for me. Just the way I feel. He should feel the same. If should mean that much to him.
  23. Imagine setting the bar at not losing to a promoted team after spending 100s of millions. I'm asking a lot I know. So ungrateful.
