  1. Yep. If we've learned one thing during Ashley's tenure it's that this chant has been a raging success.
  2. All but sold out already mate. Whoever's organising this boycoutt needs to up their game
  3. Just had a look at the fixtures and they're in the same league as Accrington, Gillingham, Oxford, Rochdale, Fleetwood, AFC Wimbledon, Shrewsbury, Southend and Wycombe. No wonder they're mouthing it off and getting all Billy Big Bollocks once again
  4. Mind they were saying the same 12 months ago when Grayson was being hailed as the latest messiah and were pretty upbeat 12 months before that as well before a ball was kicked.
  5. Yeah they've got an easy start tomorrow. Charlton seem to have all kind of problems not least loads out injured.
  6. If that new availability graphic on the club's website is to be believed it looks like Spurs is just about sold out already. Just a few hundred left around the whole stadium. With the increases for some season tickets and individual match tickets costing quite a bit more than a season ticket per game they may be heading for record receipts.
  7. At least it looks like he's lining Gareth Southgate up for when he sacks Rafa.
  8. Rats, dogs in prams, shitting on the stadium seats, nee black shorts and now e-scouts. What a place man
  9. It's kind of embarrassing that you have to explain this. We poke fun at some of the cretins who populate RTG but this place can run it close on occasions nowadays.
  10. What? Whatever their limitations I've seldom seen a more committed bunch of players than those who played for us last season.
  11. It just seems odd that the match is two weeks away and there are no details?! Definitely. It seems they're staffed to a level for ordinary day to day workload but struggle at busy times. Also probably hedging on shifting more season tickets before general release ??
  12. she looks like an ugly pat butcher, if thats possible Her level of bitterness stands out even amongst a bunch of supporters with massive chips on their shoulders. Imagine instigating a campaign to have a young lad with a family sacked because he supported Newcastle ? She is so bitter about everything Newcastle but when it comes to Rafa she goes over the edge ?
  13. It will still sell out almost every game next season and all Saturday 3 o' clocks certainly will. Always the same being said pre season but when it comes to the crunch people just enjoy a day in town and going to the match.
  14. Genuine question; is there anywhere else that keeps non-locals as hooked? Feels like Newcastle is really unique for that, or I just don't pay enough attention to other regions. It’s cheap. It's not really. There are some really cheap places in the north east but it's unlikely he'd be living there. The best parts of Newcastle, Northumberland, Tyne valley, Tynemouth etc would be expensive compared to comparable parts of other cities and counties.
  15. The Don and Poshboy came in full of bluster about the piss taking party being over but it looks like they've started one of their own ☺
  16. He's a canny player that Harry Kane like, but not sure why he's being discussed in a thread about some third division club?
  17. Do you have a link for that marra? Nah sorry, nothing I could find but it is in their issue 1471 from about a month ago, page 15 under the heading "World of Sport".
  18. Apparently they've fired a few ground staff as well. Is the Don going to have them in cutting the grass too?
  19. He is way out of his depth and bringing Methven in alongside him was a desperate move, although his cheap dig about Newcastle fans being arrogant definitely bought him some favour with the masses. Private Eye in it's recent scathing write up about "Thatcher worshipping smoothie chops" Methven describes how he took staff to task about modest expenses claims while claiming ridiculous amounts himself for lunches etc. Now they've got fans fixing the seats while the boss is on a jolly to Russia. The more level headed and astute mackems themselves must be beginning to wonder how this is going to pan out.
  20. Fucked off on the piss to watch England weeks before the new season starts and their playing squad is in disarray. Proper non-league stuff. No fucking way man  That can't be real? Can it?
  21. ?? I get the bit about Ashley selling anything if he gets the price he wants, but not about selling for less than something's worth. It's not one of his obvious traits.
  22. Essentially he has come from spending years at a club in the league above Blyth Spartans and is quite insecure about where he is now. He wants to be liked and thinks that behaving in a non league manner is the way to achieve it.
  23. If we have almost the same squad as we ended last season with then we're not in a bad place. Kenedy and Dubravka sorted, Lascelles and Lejeune looking strong, Shelvey and Diame on top of their game and Ayoze fulfilling his obvious potential. We looked excellent at the end of the season and while nothings a given you know that Rafa wouldn't let their standards fall. The loss of Merino while disappointing, after his early promise, isn't really going to impact as he hardly featured once we started improving. The unity and desire the team showed was amazing and while Rafa will not want to risk upsetting that, two or three decent signings and replacements for those yet to leave will put us in pretty good shape for next season.
  24. Isn't the Don supposed to take the stance of "The fee is 10 million or he stays. We don't need to sell anyone. We have a budget which would be the envy of Championship clubs" rather than bend over in desperation and take peanuts for one of their best prospects ? These chancers are peddling one thing but delivering something very different in reality.
  25. Somewhere they had a thread titled "West Ham 66 Sunderland 18" Now apart from the facts that England actually won it in 66 and West Ham had 3 players in that team rather than two ex-players who fucked off to greener pastures as soon as they could, they're absolutely spot on. They really are something quite special Also quite apart from the fact that three out of the five England penalty takers alone were Spurs players . And we scored our penalties. Of course I haven’t read the thread - it occurs to me that they might have considered Rose to be a Mackem too. Sorry mate but Rose is theirs and some of them are claiming Welbeck too. That's four Sunderland lads in England's world cup winning team of 2018. Not bad for a third division club
