The Charlie is an old Etonian with a background in PR. Snake oil salesman. They're the perfect club for these chancers as they'll just lap it up from anyone who says nice things about them.
-
Brave words but just a tad OTT Charlie. The "greatest clubs in the world" don't do consecutive bottom place relegations (aka a Sunderland) or get deserted by half their fanbase in little over a year. I assume after that statement all of those useless has-beens on ridiculous Premier league wages will be tearing up their contracts for the benefit of the club. Good luck with that

Please correct me if I'm missing something here. Donald has bought the club for 40M from Short but doesn't have that kind of money so has arranged to finance his purchase using the remaining parachute payments as security. It sounds like a very strange arrangement. Shouldn't his finance arrangement be secured against something he owns rather than something which is SAFC's emergency blood transfusion ? It sounds very strange but a quite amazing deal for Stewart, although a very risky one for the football club who end up losing their major source of revenue to finance his purchase if it goes wrong. Short must have been absolutely desperate to get it off his hands.

Nothing in that to impress or excite any rational football supporter. But this is Sunderland of course and they are so desperate to be loved they will fall for anyone who says a few nice things about them. There's also a current logic amongst some of them that because they will have the league's biggest turnover they will win it, but wouldn't that have put them at the top end of the Championship rather than finishing rock bottom ?

No "Rafa to Swansea" threads yet on RTG
-
She absolutely loves a Rafa thread mind and displays that curious mix of, don't rate him but still have an obsession about him managing the Mags, behaviour so evident across there Mind she is the bitterest of a bitter bunch when it comes to NUFC. When you actively campaign to have a young fella with a family sacked from his job because he supports a football team you don't like, you should probably take a step back from it all.
-
A sense of perspective may be needed about some of the crap being written and fretted over. Silly season has already started, journalists need to present their editors with stories that catch attention. Rafa already has a very good and very highly paid job and is at a club where the entire management and playing staff are right behind him, and he is adored by the club's huge and passionate support base. It may be that he seeks greener pastures if the owner doesn't meet his demands but Rafa knows that right now there are not many better jobs for him than the one he already has.
-
That is a dreadful looking squad. Just travel with a carry on lads.
-
Fkn hell man they have a 26 (twenty six) page thread, and growing, about a Newcastle fanzine editor. A fucking fanzine editor There must have been at least a hundred Rafa threads so far They're just weird, really fkn weird.
-
Nah. Negative. There is talk of a new owner. Some guy from a non league club who reportedly left his wife and kids for a lapdancer. They call him "The Don" and they're fawning all over him.
-
Best central defensive partnership we've had in a long time.
-
Mackem logic decrees that if something about Newcastle is repeated three times on their forum it becomes indisputable and irrefutable fact. Forever.
-
Despite his infuriating moments he's a defence opener and can turn a match in a moment of brilliance. If we're looking for a significant upgrade in that position it's going to cost a lot of money. The new player would also have to fit in with the Benitez approach, something Ayoze so obviously already does.
-
Especially if his wife takes him for half his wedge when they divorce. A two-bob, orange chancer with a penchant for chicks with dicks, I'd be worried.
-
So this failed non league club owner, who has been given the club for free, has shacked up with a lap dancer but any poor Sunderland fan who dares to show the slightest degree of scepticism about it all is instantly rounded on the usual RTG bitter mob This looks like it could well end in tears

Our current management team and squad is really well placed to make the next step. Away from the 12 team scrap at the bottom and into the top 8. Then who knows what else beyond that ? We have a lot of the essentials in place and a team and work ethic second to none in the league. This time it really doesn't need a huge overhaul, just sensible investment and upgrading in some areas, along with Rafa's continued hand on the tiller. We have so much already in place and just need to finish the job properly. Please get it right this time!
-
Their obsession with our manager takes obsession to new levels of obsession.
-
"Potential" seems to be their new buzzword
-
And that one bloke was a fucking idiot. Tried fighting North Shields fans last time we were there. Was always threatening to chin somebody. More often than not an opposition fan
-
That includes corporate hospitality, so you could shave a bit off that for ordinary seats.
-
Now that it's cheaper to watch the mackems than South Shields a few Shields fans might be tempted to desert to Sunderland
-
Big plans mate - be quality next season as they're building a veranda! Really nice the boozer now too - great runaround as you say! Place always had a nice feel to it and the investment will just make it better. I'm sure it will get the payback it deserves. Be great if they can keep a steady 300 plus going.
-
So in a nutshell, "our fans" :- Don't like paying much (if anything) to watch their team Win the most empty seats in a stadium award year after year More than half of them desert their team in 18 months when the going gets tough Miserably fail to sell out for crucial away fixtures But are still the best fans in the world marra  P.S. Respect to those who have stood by their team during bad times.
-
Pleased for Hebburn. Nice club. Looks like they've turned it round and decent potential there. Shame for Roofing but ultimately one person can't sustain a club forever, his efforts were immense at that level but they just never had any kind of real community following.
-
Amazingly mackem delusion now seems to have many of them considering their proposed takeover as some kind of warped victory over Newcastle as Ashley, apparently, has no buyer lined up Did they miss the coincidence that it was when their relegation was confirmed, and their value went well south of zero, that Short in his desperation to be rid of it didn't just give the club away but effectively paid someone to take it off his hands That's how they've ended up with a non league chancer as their new owner
