  1. I'm not convinced by Fonseca or Favre but the fact both are available and seemingly falling overthemelves to come, it seems mental for the new owners to consider the likes of Terry, lampard or martinez...nor will they imo. They will want a home run appointment with fans if they can get it. They have their ear close enough to the ground to know some of the names linked will be and already are divisive with fans. I'd be shocked if they did that. Also fair to say any appointment will likely have a few detractors but some stand out clear as not being fully accepted from the start. It's all about getting someone with Charisma and/or the ability to unite the team and fanbase. "Trust the process" .......destroy it if it's terry. Lol
  2. Exactly.. while officially he isn't related to Faustino... is he actually?? Darion is more a poor man's Kazenga to Lomana LuaLua. Pretty inconsistent for Portland through the years but sparks of brilliance. Although....Definitely not Faustinos younger brother either.
  3. Other than terry all of the mentioned names would likely do enough to keep us up, martinez and lampard included. It seems increasingly likely this appointment will be one for the mid term at best. Maybe there are some bigger names we don't know about or ten Hag is interested. The majority of those linked seem like placeholders until the manager we want becomes available. We have to do what we have to do with what is available right now with where we are at.
  4. The dream.. ...although swap shelvey for willock. Dubs back is important.
  5. He has already said he had full assurances of his future at the club. He isn't going anywhere. From last weeks interview it was clear he is living the dream and just wants to help in whatever capacity. I expect he will be kept on as the obligatory first team coach that help the new one settle in. Beyond that maybe he stays first team or works elsewhere within the club. Maybe the flexibility let's him coach with England too.
  6. When you are pretending to listen but really thinking about how the bacon is.
  7. ...leant into the camera and winked as he said it too.
  8. This Manger search is a "moveable feast" to be fair.
  9. Fingers crossed. I think given the back and forth on Bruce it will be another week and Jones is still pitch side for Brighton
  10. "According to RAC1, former Barca captain Xavi is one of three candidates in the frame to replace Koeman. River Plate manager Marcelo Gallardo is also on Barca’s shortlist, while the club are also considering Barca B’s head coach Sergi Barjuan as an interim appointment."
  11. Yeah. That's a worry. Looked like he has his coaching career on track. Fingers crossed its not as ominous as it all sounds.
  12. I've had 12 years without it as it's not on anywhere here. Dazn picked up the ashes and I got tivimate. Revolutionary! Like an old friend.
  13. Just like with prospective players in coming months, we are playing a different ball game in terms of players/managers/agent demands. There will be higher pay expectations and longer negotiations imo.
  14. Embrace it. If we are succeeding and at the top end of the table in a couple of years they will be licking our rings and the complete opposite. Feel the hate..let it flow though you.
  15. True. Talking of SBR links, been surprised their hasn't been more noise about AVB. Certainly as a placeholder manager. I'd have him over half or the names linked. He would have q point to prove. Always seemed a bit of a maverick.
  16. And motivation through emotional attachment. I think through SBR he would have that here. I would be really happy with mourinho but that doesn't mean he isn't over the hill or any better than other names linked. It's amazing we all have the mental scope to turn our noses up at anyone considering where we were a month ago!
  17. Shite. Does this mean I have to return the costume bought for skirges dog? online refunds are a bitch.
  18. Thought the international break was after the Chelski game. Ideally having someone in sooner and at watching at the weekend would be great but no panic stations provided they are in place for the international break to get working with the players. It is a big gamble for Ten Hag. It is another long term project. He has been in one at Ajax. I expect he will prefer to go somewhere that can win trophies quickly and will be more of a sure bet rather than gambling on a builder project that could wreck his career if something goes wrong. Not to say there aren't similar risks going into a big club but I get the hesitancy and starting from scratch. Edit. Reported in multiple places that Zidane has no interest in the Manure job. The man is consistent.
